YouTube automatically deletes comments that criticize China and its regime

Chinese YouTube users are warning that the platform is automatically censoring some passwords in comments under videos. According to Chinese users, there are quite a large number of different words and passwords that disappear from YouTube almost immediately after they are written, which means that behind the deletion of comments there is some automated system that actively searches for "inconvenient" passwords. The slogans and expressions that YouTube deletes usually relate to the Chinese Communist Party, certain "objectionable" historical events, or colloquialisms that denigrate the practices or institutions of the state apparatus.

When testing whether this erasure actually occurs, The Epoch Times editors found that selected passwords did indeed disappear after about 20 seconds of being typed. Google, which runs YouTube, has been accused several times in the past of being overly servile to the Chinese regime. For example, the company has been accused in the past of working with the Chinese regime to develop a special search tool that was heavily censored and could not find anything the Chinese regime did not want. In 2018, it was also reported that Google is working closely on an AI research project with a Chinese university that conducts research work for the military. Global companies that operate in China (be it Google, Apple or many others) and invest massively usually don't have much of a choice. Either they submit to the regime or they can say goodbye to the Chinese market. And this is completely unacceptable for most of them, despite the often (and hypocritically) declared moral principles.

Mozilla will end support for Flash by the end of the year

The popular cross-platform Internet search engine Mozilla Firefox will end support for Flash by the end of this year. According to the company, the main reason is above all security, as it has become clear in recent years that the flash interface and individual web elements can hide potential dangers for users. In addition, the individual plugins on which Flash support is based are quite outdated and with an insufficient level of security. Even though many major browsers have completely abandoned Flash support, some (especially older) websites still need Flash to function. However, the gradual end of support by Internet browser developers will mean that even these old sites and services will have to switch to a more modern way of presenting web content (for example, using HTML5).

Sony has introduced a new (and probably last) PS4 Pro bundle with a Last of Us II theme

The life cycle of the PlayStation 4 (Pro) console is slowly but surely coming to an end, and as a form of farewell, Sony has prepared a completely new and limited bundle of the Pro model, which will be associated with the long-awaited title The Last of Us II. This limited edition, or bundle, will go on sale on June 19, i.e. the day The Last of Us II is released. Included in the package will be a uniquely engraved PlayStation 4 console, along with a similarly styled DualShock 4 controller and a physical copy of the game itself. The driver will also be available separately. A similarly modified Gold Wireless Headset will also go on sale, and in this case it will also be a limited edition. The last special product in the limited series will be an external 2TB drive, which will be housed in a special engraved case that matches the design of the console, controller and headphones. The console bundle will definitely reach our market, but it is not yet clear how it will be with the other accessories. However, it can be expected that if some of these products actually reach our market, they will appear, for example, on Alza.

The remaster of Mafia II and III has been released and more information about the first part has been released

It would probably be difficult to find a more famous domestic title than the first Mafia in the Czech meadows and groves. Two weeks ago there was a surprise announcement that a remake of all three installments was on the way, and today was the day that the Definitive Editions of Mafia II and III hit stores, both on PC and consoles. Along with that, studio 2K, which has the rights to Mafia, announced more information about the upcoming remake of the first part. This is because, unlike the two and three, it will receive far more extensive modifications.

In today's press release, the modernized Czech dubbing, newly recorded scenes, animations, dialogues and completely new playable parts, including several new game mechanics, were confirmed. Players will get, for example, the opportunity to drive motorcycles, mini-games in the form of new collectibles, and the city of New Heaven itself will also get an expansion. The redesigned title will offer support for 4K resolution and HDR. Czech developers from the Prague and Brno branches of the studio Hangar 13 participated in the remake. The remake of the first part is scheduled for August 28.
