The Brazilian company has renewed a long-standing lawsuit with Apple

When you think of an Apple phone or a smartphone from Apple, almost everyone in developed countries immediately thinks of the iPhone. However, the Brazilian company IGB Electronica does not agree with this opinion. This company focuses on the production of consumer electronics and already registered the name in 2000 iPhone. There have been lawsuits between Apple and IGB Electronica for a long time. The Brazilian company has been trying to get exclusive rights to the iPhone trademark in a multi-year dispute, which it has failed in the past. According to the latest reports from a Brazilian news website Technoblog but they are not giving up in Brazil and have turned the case to the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court. How was the iPhone brand in the past?

In 2012, IGB Electronica took care of the production of a series of smartphones with the GRADIENTE-iPhone label, which were sold on the local market. Even then, the company had exclusive rights to use the said trademark, making their iPhone-branded product line completely legal. But the given decision did not last long and after a while IGB Electronica lost the "apple rights". At the time, Apple requested that the Brazilian company not be allowed to use the iPhone mark, while the IGB tried to retain the rights - but to no avail. In 2013, a court decision allowed both companies to produce phones under the same name, but five years later there was another court decision that canceled the first one. But IGB Electronica does not give up and after two years intends to overturn that verdict. In addition, the Brazilian company lost a huge amount of money on the lawsuits themselves, and it is still not clear how things will continue with them. Who do you think is right? Should the trademark remain exclusive to Apple, or should the Brazilian firm also be allowed to produce phones?

Apple has prepared another badge for Apple Watch users

Apple watches are among the most popular wearable products worldwide. In their popularity, they mainly benefit from their health functions, where they are able to measure the user's heart rate and, using electrocardiography (EKG sensor), alert them to potential cardiovascular diseases. In addition, Apple Watch simultaneously encourages its users to lead a healthy lifestyle and exercise. In this regard, the Californian giant is betting on a reward system. Once the user reaches a certain goal, they will be rewarded with a permanent badge. Of course, Apple is not going to stop there, and for the occasion of International Environment Day, which takes place on June 5, it has prepared a brand new badge.

Last month, everyone expected us to see a special badge for Earth Day. But we didn't get to see that, which can be attributed to the circumstances surrounding the global pandemic, when it was most important that people stay at home as much as possible and refrain from any social interaction. But what about the upcoming badge, which we will be able to get as early as next month? There is nothing difficult at all about its fulfillment. All you have to do is move for one minute to close the ring and "take home" a cool new badge. Completing this challenge will earn you three animated stickers, which you can view in the gallery attached above.

Apple just released the macOS 10.15.5 developer beta

Today, the Californian giant released the developer beta of the macOS Catalina 10.15.5 operating system, which brings one great new feature. This is a new function for battery management. As you all know, there is a so-called Optimized charging in iOS, with which you can significantly save the battery and thus extend its life. A very similar gadget is now heading to Apple computers as well. The feature is called Battery Health Management and it works by first learning how you charge your MacBook. Based on this data, the function subsequently does not charge the laptop to full capacity and thus extends the aforementioned battery life. We continued to receive a fix for the bug that was causing the Finder app to crash. The reason for this was to transfer larger files to so-called RAID disks. Some users of the macOS 10.15.4 operating system have experienced system crashes a few times, which were caused by the transfer of larger files. This error should also be fixed and spontaneous crashes should no longer occur.
