Facebook is working on dark mode

Lately, the so-called Dark Mode, or dark mode, which makes it easier to use your devices especially at night, has been very popular. We didn't see Dark Mode on mobile devices from Apple until the arrival of the iOS 13 operating system, which was responded to by a number of applications. For example, Twitter, Instagram and many other programs today can fully use the potential of dark mode and can switch to the appropriate form based on your system settings. But the problem so far is Facebook. It still doesn't offer Dark Mode and, for example, looking at a wall at night will literally burn your eyes.

Dark mode images published by the magazine BetaInfo:

But at the moment, the WABetaInfo page came with the news that there is an option in the developer version of Facebook that will allow you to turn on the mentioned dark mode. For this reason, it can be expected that we will soon see this desired function in the classic version as well. But there is one catch. The screenshots published so far show a not-so-dark mode. As you can see in the gallery, it is more of a gray color. As you all know, Dark Mode can save battery on OLED display phones. In places with black color, the corresponding pixels will be turned off, which will significantly reduce energy consumption. Currently, of course, it is not possible to say with certainty whether the dark mode will look like this in its final form, or when we will even expect it. But we know for sure that something is finally being worked on and we will have to wait for the result for some time.

Apple celebrates Earth Day

Today is marked in the calendars as Earth Day, which, of course, Apple itself did not forget. So if you go to the App Store and click on the Today category at the bottom left, at first glance you will see a new article from the workshop of the Californian company, which is labeled Reconnect with nature. Due to the current situation caused by the ever-expanding pandemic of a new type of coronavirus, we have to stay at home as much as possible. This limits us to a great extent, and it is during Earth Day that we lose the opportunity to connect with nature. However, Apple is betting on modern technology and the mentioned connection with nature will allow you to a large extent even today. Today's time is very busy and people often don't even notice the beauties that are right next to them. So in its article, Apple shared two apps that will help you reconnect with nature and also keep you entertained during the mandatory quarantine period. So let's take a look at them together and quickly summarize their functions.

Search by iNaturalist

As we have already indicated, nowadays people often do not notice the things that are right in front of their eyes. So how about going to your own backyard or going for a walk and exploring the beauty of nature right there? The Seek by iNaturalist app provides you with a wealth of useful information about plants and animals, so you can find out how that organism has evolved around the world. You simply need to take a picture of the subject and the application will take care of the rest for you.

The iPad dominated the tablet market in 2019

Strategy Analytics recently provided us with a brand new analysis that looked at the tablet market. But this analysis does not deal with the sale of devices from different brands, but instead focuses only on processors. But since the Californian giant supplies chips only for its iPads, it is quite obvious that the iPads just mentioned are hidden under the Apple category. Apple chips, which can be found, for example, in the iPhone or iPad, have managed to gain incredible respect in recent years, mainly thanks to their uncompromising performance. This fact was also reflected in the study itself, where Apple literally overcame its competition. In 2019, Apple reaped a 44% market share. The second place is shared by Qualcomm and Intel, while the share of both these companies was "only" 16%. In last place, with a 24% share, is the Others group, which includes Samsung, MediaTek and other manufacturers. According to data from Strategy Analytics, the tablet market saw 2% year-over-year growth, reaching $2019 billion in 1,9.
