Apple Watch is a great tool not only for exercise, fitness activities, or for communication. They can also serve you well as a tool for monitoring a number of different health functions, including heart rate. In addition, thanks to the function of saving the history of this measurement, you can always get a perfect overview of how the frequency of your heart rate changes gradually depending on the time or the activity you perform.

Quick overview on Apple Watch

The fastest and easiest way to check your heart rate is directly on the Apple Watch display. All you have to do is launch the native Heart Rate app on your Apple smartwatch. On the main screen you can monitor the continuous results of the current measurement, in the graph above them you can find information about your heart rate during the day. If you want to get information about resting heart rate, average heart rate while walking, average heart rate during exercise and average heart rate during recovery (that is, for one and two minutes after the end of the exercise), just move the display towards down.

On iPhone

You can also conveniently view the detailed history and records of your heart rate on your iPhone. In this case, your steps will lead to the native Health application, where you will then tap on the Browse tab in the lower right corner. Select Heart from the list of items - you will see additional tabs with different categories, such as Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability or perhaps Cardiovascular Fitness. For detailed information on individual categories, just click on the appropriate tab. In the upper part of the display, you can then switch between displaying graphs per hour, day, week, month, half year or year.

At first glance, the individual categories may look confusing or give the impression that it is not really clear what data can be read from them and how to deal with this information. Fortunately, the native Health application offers enough understandable information on this topic. Just tap on the category you're interested in and on the category tab itself, head a little further down, where you'll find a whole host of useful information, tips and advice.
