The writer Franz Kafka belongs to the classics of 20th century literature and is one of the greatest innovators of the novel narrative form. His main works include, for example, novels Process, Missing, Lock or amendment Transformation. Kafka inspired not only many other Czech and foreign writers, but also game developers.

Russian indie developer Denis Galanin has created a puzzle adventure game The Franz Kafka video game, for which he already received the Game of the Year and Best Adventure/RPG titles at Intel Level Up in 2015.

You can't rely on absolutely anything in the game. Just like in the books, here too you will encounter humor that is in total contrast to irony, absurdity and surrealism. The main character is unexpectedly named Mr. K. and anyone who has ever read one of the mentioned books knows very well that things will not go well with the "duck". The heroes of Kafka's books are often humiliated and end up quite tragically in various hopeless situations.

But not to speak only in a depressing form - The Franz Kafka Videogame is definitely worth a try. Throughout the game, you can notice many allusions to the greatest works of this master. Dialogues and individual puzzles are also refined. Some will make you sweat a lot because there is basically no logical solution. Often I would just click and try and suddenly it would work.

Sometimes the answer is hidden right in the given location, you just have to look around a little. In the worst case, you have the option of two hints after two and a half minutes. Once you turn on common sense, you have to solve the puzzle.

Don't expect any inventory, battles or any RPG elements in the game. It is a pure point-and-click adventure game. The game is also fully localized in the Czech Republic, so you can fully enjoy the story. And what is it about? Mr. K. leaves his home, his wife and goes to America for work, somewhat forced. On the way he meets strange people and all kinds of creatures. You often get into various dreamy imaginations that you have to solve somehow. However, you will not find a logical explanation.

I enjoyed The Franz Kafka Videogame. I like a similar concept of games where I can totally indulge in something crazy. The game also quite motivated me to finally finish reading the works of Kafka, which I have not yet managed. Who knows, maybe you too will like this writer. You definitely won't make a mistake. You can download The Franz Kafka Videogame for a solid 89 crowns. It is definitely worth the experience, although it could be a little longer. Experienced players can get through it in less than an hour, I think. So try to enjoy the game. The game music is also picked up.
