Welcome to the Czech post-apocalyptic world. There are no rules, you just have to survive. The Czech pixel art game Mini DAYZ, which many of you know from computers, has arrived on iPhones and iPads. So far the game has been running in a web browser, where you could play bloated multiplayer against other players. Developers from Bohemia Interactive however, they decided to make Mini DAYZ available to mobile players as a pure single player.

I have to say that I haven't been very successful so far. In the randomly generated world and map, I always hit an obstacle and died. That being said, your job is to survive no matter how you do it. So you have to frantically run through the forest, between buildings and other objects that contain the necessary things for survival. You should have some food, drink and clothing with you practically at all times. Here and there you will find a piece of paprika, Coca-Cola, a T-shirt or even bullets and various weapons in the trunk of the car. You can make them yourself, just like you can make a fire.

However, your backpack is very limited at the beginning, and many times you have to decide what to take and what to leave lying around. You also have to watch out for changes in the weather, because once you get cold and wet, you're sure to die soon. In the top row, you have a simple status bar for these purposes. In addition to life, you can also see how hungry, thirsty or cold you are. In the harsh wilderness, zombies and infected animals are waiting for you. Sometimes you have to defend yourself with your bare hands, other times you can easily take a shotgun or an ax to help. It depends on whether you have it available.

Sometimes it pays to run quickly, or simply bypass the undead. You can control the character either with a virtual joystick or by simply tapping. You also have different difficulties to choose from and several characters that have different advantages and abilities. However, you have to fight for them, for example, kill several zombies with your bare hands and the like. In each world you also have a map and a simple walkthrough that I recommend reading. The advantage is that Mini DAYZ is completely in the Czech language. In the beginning, you will also try a simple tutorial, where you will get your fill of great features. However, a quick sobering up and a hard fall to the ground will come. You don't get anything for free.

I also appreciate that a brand new map is generated for me with each new game. You never see the same locations. Even the buildings are always arranged differently. Another bonus is the fact that the game does not contain traditional in-app purchases, only an advertisement appears here and there. Here you can summon it yourself, you will be rewarded with some raw material or equipment. Believe that even ordinary kvass or an orange can save your life.

You can download Mini DAYZ for free in the App Store. I really enjoy the game because you never know when you will die. On the other hand, it is clear that this is not a new concept. We recently wrote about a game, for example Don't Starve: Shipwrecked. Anyway, the Czech developers deserve a thumbs up. Don't hesitate and try the game.
