I've played a lot of games on iOS, but I have to admit that it's been a long time since I've been captivated enough to run to the App Store so quickly because I wanted to pay the developers for a job well done. This game is called Hidden Folks and it is a brilliantly designed hide and seek.

Hidden Folks won't dazzle you with any stunning graphics or action, but the way it's handled is still fantastic. As soon as you start the game, you'll find yourself in a hand-drawn, black-and-white, interactive and miniaturized landscape that the developers really worked on.

Your task is to find various characters and objects in the forest or in the camp, and later perhaps in the city or factory, which are hidden in every possible way on the playing field. You know what they look like, and a short description helps, which usually indicates where you should look for that character or item. And that's it, the rest is up to you and your skill as you make your way through the hand drawn world.

What is important about the gaming experience is that the whole world in Hidden Folks is not only drawn, but also moves. You will find the characters hidden in the trees, from where you have to drop them, or perhaps behind the antenna on the roof. In addition, characters and objects react cutely to any touch, not only with movement, but also with sound effects, of which there are thousands of sounds in the game and you will often have fun with them.

In total, there are fourteen different areas waiting for you in Hidden Folks, with more to come. You start your search in the forest, but you will also end up in a very frustrating and endless desert or in an office, where it's head to head for a change. Over two hundred unique interactions and many more funny sounds kept me coming back to the game, even if I couldn't find anything right now, because traversing the magical cartoon world is extremely satisfying. Even more so when you finally find the hidden golf ball!

If you like hide and seek games, Hidden Folks is one of the best on iOS. In addition, it is possible to play on the computer, because it is a game also available for download on Steam. In the App Store, Hidden Folks costs four euros, and the developers deserve every penny for this incredible little gem.
