Do you remember the Crossy Road hipster jumper that also appeared at Apple's keynote? In the game you played as different characters and your task was to jump as far as possible. This is how the idea of this game was expanded by the developers from the Ostrava studio Craneballs in the new game Bomb Hunters, which is available for free in the App Store. Craneballs are no newcomers to the gaming field. They have behind them successful titles led by the shooter Overkill and the racing game Splash Cars.

In the game Bomb Hunters, you will find yourself in the role of a pyrotechnician who faces a confusing terrain, shooting enemies and an inexorable time limit to defuse the bombs. You control the character by swiping your finger, with the minor drawback being that you have to keep your finger on the screen all the time. There will be various obstacles in your way that you need to bypass and find the ticking bomb. All you have to do is stand here and the pyrotechnician will take care of it.

The joke is that the bombs keep coming. After a successful series of disposals, you can rest for a while at the checkpoint and then you have to rush into the next adventure. On the way you will also encounter various mortars, bombing planes, heavy traffic and a river. You have to avoid traps, you only have three lives for each game. Once you die, you have to start over.

Fortunately, you do not always move in the same environment, but just like in the aforementioned Crossy Road, the location and surrounding elements are constantly changing. In Bomb Hunters there is also an additional collection of coins, for which you can buy, among other things, a better suit and new tools for disposing of explosives. The environment also features bonus times and other user enhancements.

In Bomb Hunters, you will also find special explosives that you can defuse by solving mini-puzzles, for example matching colored fuses correctly or entering a special password and key. These elements really bring the whole game to life, so don't expect a stereotypical gaming experience. Of course, Bomb Hunters includes a highscore leaderboard so you can compare yourself to your friends. The more successful you are, the more medals and upgrades you get.

Bomb Hunters is free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, but you can significantly speed up your progress with in-app purchases. However, it is no problem to go through individual missions without them and thus play completely free. Bomb Hunters also includes theme music and interesting animations. In the end, of course, everything is about your speed and perception. I wish you a pleasant entertainment.
