Adam Kos Apple offers its Czech customers, who shop within its official Apple Online Store, the possibility to have various information engraved on the products. It can be not only the initials of the new owner, so that the new product is only his, you can also have a combination of emoticons and numbers engraved. Nothing, so at least the answer to the question of how much Apple charges for engraving. Whether it's an iPad or an AirTag, engraving is completely free, whether you want just one emoji or an entire quote. There's just one catch. If you want to engrave a product, you will usually have to wait longer than standard delivery. And it's logical. Apple can't just take any model and send it to you, but must first personalize it accordingly, thus extending the delivery time.

As you can see from the list, Apple does not offer engraving on any Mac, nor any generation of iPhone, Apple Watch or Apple TV.
Engraving position
If you want to have your 2nd or 3rd generation AirPods or AirPods Pro engraved, Apple does so on their charging case. In the case of the AirPods Max, these are engraved on the upper left side of the shell where the bridge begins. As for the AirTag, of course it adds engraving to its glossy white surface, which is large enough to hold up to four letters and numbers or up to three emoticons. In the case of Apple Pencil 2nd generation, the text you enter and its combination is added before the product label. Compared to AirTag, where there is a relatively limited space, here, on the other hand, you can enter up to 19 characters.
Examples of engraving
The iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro are always engraved on their back, starting from their middle in the top third of the device. Because there is really a lot of space here, you can also express yourself appropriately, in two lines. You can easily write, for example, a congratulatory message to the person you want to dedicate the iPad to, or have a motivational quote immortalized here, etc. You can also have the iPod touch engraved, as it too has an aluminum back.
What characters and texts are not allowed
Apple places restrictions on what you can and cannot have engraved. This is mainly a combination of offensive emoji (dog and poo), but of course also text. It should be noted that in Czech, the generator has some gaps, because although the English FU*K will ban you, a similar word in our mother tongue, but it does not mind. In the generator, which is the same for all products, you will also not find the entire palette of emoticons offered, for example, by the iOS system, but only the selected ones.
