When you unbox your iPhone, turn on Safari and want to search for something on the Internet, Google is automatically offered to you. However, this is also due to the fact that Google pays Apple huge amounts of money every year to maintain this prominent position. According to the latest reports, up to 3 billion dollars.

This is based on a report by the Bernstein analyst firm, which believes that Google paid three billion dollars this year to keep its search engine the main one in iOS, which is almost 67 billion crowns. It is this amount that should then largely make up revenues from services that in recent months are growing rapidly.

In 2014, Google was supposed to pay $1 billion for the position of its search engine, and Bernstein estimates that for the fiscal year 2017, the amount has already climbed to the aforementioned three billion. The company also estimates that, given that practically the entire payment should be counted in Apple's profits, Google can thus contribute up to five percent to its competitor's operating profit this year.

However, Google does not have an entirely easy position in this regard. He could stop paying and hope that his search engine is good enough that Apple won't deploy another one, but at the same time iOS accounts for roughly 50 percent of all revenue from mobile devices, so it's not a good idea to mess with this situation.
