We have behind us the keynote to start the Google I/O 2022 conference, i.e. Google's equivalent of Apple's WWDC. And it's true that Google didn't spare us in any way and churned out one new thing after another. Although there are certain similarities with Apple's events, after all, its American rival approaches it a little differently - that is, when it comes to presenting products.

It was mostly about the software, that's for sure. Of the total two hours, Google didn't actually devote to it only the last half hour, which was devoted to hardware. The entire keynote took place in an outdoor amphitheater, where the stage was supposed to be your living room. After all, Google offers a whole range of smart home products.

Laughter and applause

What was very positive was the live audience. The audience finally laughed again, clapped and was also a little surprised. After all the online action, it was really nice to see that interaction. After all, WWDC should also be "physical" in part, so we'll see how Apple can handle it, because Google got it right. Although it is a fact that only half of the audience had their airways covered.

The entire presentation was very similar to that of Apple. In essence, you could say how through the copier. There were no words of praise, how wonderful and wonderful everything is. After all, why vilify your products. Each speaker was interspersed with engaging videos, and basically, if you just switched the Google logos for Apple, you wouldn't know whose event you were actually looking at.

Another (and better?) strategy

But a detailed presentation is one thing, and what is said on it is another. However, Google did not disappoint. Whatever he copied from Apple (and vice versa), he has a slightly different strategy. Right away, he will show the products that he will introduce in October, just to spoil us. We won't see this at Apple. Although we will already know about his products first and last from various leaks. It is precisely to them that Google gives minimal space. And in addition, he can build interesting hype here, when he releases some information from time to time.

If you have two hours to spare, be sure to check out the event. If only half an hour, at least watch the hardware presentation. If it's only 10 minutes, you can find such cuts on YouTube. Especially if you can't wait for WWDC, it will make the long wait more enjoyable. It looks really good.
