If you installed iOS 7 on your iPhone or iPad and thought you'd be able to flip back to iOS 6 if you didn't like the new system, you were wrong. There is no going back from iOS 7, Apple has blocked it…
Apple has removed support for iOS 6.1.3 from all compatible devices (i.e. iOS 6.1.4 for the iPhone 5), which means that you can no longer get this system on iPhones and iPads with the current newer iOS.
You can find out which operating systems Apple continues to "sign". <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>, where iOS 6.1.3 and iOS 6.1.4 already glow red. The last signed six system is iOS 6.1.3 for iPad mini and its GSM version. But it will probably disappear soon as well.
However, this is not a surprising move. Apple uses this strategy every year. This is largely a jailbreak protection. New updates bring patches that hackers use to get into the system, and when the user doesn't have the option to go back a version, the jailbreak community has to do it all over again.
Users who didn't manage to roll back to iOS 6 in the hours after the release of iOS 7, when the way back was still possible, are now out of luck.
fuck this!!!!! I wanted to downgrade on the iPad yesterday and nothing :(((( now I'll never get rid of the ballast :/
Well, Microsoft can still save you, it will give you a voucher for your iPad to buy in the MS Store :D
lol, you obviously don't know what is good :)
and why do it :) sbsetting-so-so is already there, the speed is great even on iP 4ce and it doesn't crash like with a jailbreak and a lot of idiots.. free games? There are a lot of them for free, just download touch arcade and you won't run away from the back room, a sale, or a free event for something... jailbreak doesn't have much meaning anymore
so definitely not because of free games. The whole system crashes for me with iOS7, the images in the gallery do not load in full resolution and I do not like the design at all. Mainly the hideous lower bar that destroys the appearance of the entire OS!
Exactly as you write, the pictures in the galleries are really loading very strangely, that's what bugs me about it and also the flashlight, but unfortunately we have to put up with it :(
I don't see much, I scroll through my camera roll with 900 photos from the bottom to the top right away, in no time, I don't have to wait for anything.. I didn't like it with 6.1.. I don't know the battery, I have an older IP4, it won't last much anymore :)
Design.. the whole internet is crying about it.. just like with every change of FB for years back and anything else that a person is used to :D It is more modern, like everything new that is flying today.. Apple himself said that he would not like it's over, like nokia.. you can't just do nothing and take such unchristian money from us) So for me, it's definitely a step forward
Holy shit, we'll screw them up so many thousands and they won't even let us go back to the older system, this is the first time Apple pissed me off... On the 4s the battery went down by 20 percent, a big mess in terms of performance
First? Someone forgot to read.
So I wouldn't want iOS5 back on the iPhone 6. iOS7, looks much cleaner. You get used to new functions quickly. The only minus for me is the calendar, which could have been better. I don't understand why some are crying and cursing that they don't like the look and can't go back. We knew what iOS7 looks like more than a month ago. If you didn't like it, you shouldn't have put it on your phone...
Because maybe some didn't want to judge a "product" by its cover and try it. That's why iOS7 seems to me to have caused the biggest wave of likes/dislikes I've experienced with Apple. I believe that apple will listen to its users and bring iOS7 to the form: "iOS7, it looks much cleaner", because now there is really nothing clean about the system, one app is about a car, another is about a goat, the transparency is different... one button is so different... but I certainly didn't cry or shed a single tear.
The fact that the applications are still largely in the spirit of iOS6 will not affect Apple. But as I watch the updates, the developers are trying to do something about it gradually.
Sorry, of course I meant individual apple apps. Calendar, Clock, Messages, Reminders...Notes. Besides the Helvetica neu ultra light font, the common denominator is what? neither icon nor UI…
I agree that the calendar is unusable, but I don't agree that it is the only drawback. For example, thin text that cannot be made bold, only enlarged, is almost imperceptible for people with poor eyesight. The button has changed to links. System resources are used up much faster than in iOS 6, which turns the iPhone 4S's speedy drive into a falling jerk with a slow response. This is related to battery life, which is estimated to be 4-15% less after the iPhone 20S update.
It is not true that you cannot set bold text.
Try Settings, General, Accessibility, Bold Text
Thank you. I didn't know about this possibility and it's exactly what I was missing.
IOS 3 is really miserable on iPad 7. The system is slower and the battery lasts less. My understanding is that if I want a fast system again, should I buy a new iPad? So that's great support for a year and a half old device :-/
Yes, it's a tribute. The iPhone 3G was a perfect fast device at the time, with which I was very satisfied. Gradually, as updates and upgrades to higher iOS went, it became a lagging box with which practically nothing could be done. iPad 1, I remember the first time I turned it on. Wow, the speed... it works so far, it's lying here on my desk... iOS 5... same fate as with the iPhone... but I understand why we should go and buy new HW when the iphone has no problem, the home button is a little annoying, the ipad without the slightest problem …
in short, the trend from the desktop has been transferred to phones and mobile devices, more powerful HW, more powerful HW...
I also have a 3rd gen aa and just today I looked at the usage, I have about 18 hours there and it doesn't seem like my battery is running out.
I would definitely recommend turning off the parallax effect, which eats up the battery :-)
And it doesn't even seem to slow down my iPad. In addition, as has already been written about a million times - iOS was mainly optimized for the iPhone, I would expect patches for iPads in the near future.
iOS 3 runs just fine on my iPad 7, as it does on the iPhone 4. I rather feel that most things run faster on the iPhone 4 with iOS 7 than with iOS 6.
recovery with complete deletion of content and settings helped me a little. it's quite sad that iOS already catches such "android" flies...
Today I downloaded iOS 7 to my mother's iPad 2 (I disabled it on the company's 12 phones) and made her a bit of a guinea pig...
I have to say it's even worse/more unusable than I expected!!!
The worst thing is the readability - the new design "she was in white" is dementia itself and the new (albeit nice in itself) font kills it second... that he chose it according to a model printed in black on white paper …..)
With iOS 7, I feel (on iPad2) a 20% slowdown in most applications.
The calendar was designed by a demented person (sorry), who probably didn't even shake hands with its predecessor from iOS6...
You can't switch to video in the camera - after 5 minutes of trying, I realized - you're just taking pictures anyway... :-(!
Changing the icons means for the pensioner who was excited about the device and learned how to use it 2 years ago without any help - that I turned the iPAD 2 into an unreliable piece of cake that he is starting to hate!!!
GSM data control is missing in the drop-down list for quick settings changes - it's already written everywhere, but it's really a mega bug. (Whoever uses a lot of IP in the Czech Republic knows that the battery can be saved the most by turning off 3G, which, thanks to the constant optimization of our desperately weak signals, will use up the already small IP capacity in 3-4 hours!!!).
It's a fatal shock for me - I really don't know how to behave in the company - even now I'm reading that Apple has blocked it - so that it's not possible to return z5 to iOS6... I can already see how they'll start blackmailing us through new products (ATVs, new iPads and the like) - I'm complete equipped with APPLE).
I do not believe that APPLE can (and that it even wants to) change the described mistakes - self-centered sir-type guys. Ive already proved to us several times that they really, really don't want to listen to us...
That's why we'll probably try to hold out with iOS 6 until IP6, and if this trend continues there's no reason not to start looking elsewhere - by the way, almost everything that APPLE has now released into the world is at least strongly inspired by NOKIA products - who knows the N9, who will compare the appearance of the 5C with any Lumia and anyone who has even briefly tried the window mobile system - it will be difficult to disprove my opinion...
Just a rock fan - now I say - SHAME ON APPLE!!!!
Mr. Skořep, how is the calendar in iOS7 worse than in iOS6. I don't have a place to test it and the iOS calendar means a lot to me and I use it a lot Thanks.
I have not yet installed IOS 7 on the two devices of the latest generation that I own. As soon as I saw the samples, I thought that it was the work of the 4% minority at Apple. I mean, nothing against that minority. Those colors, disgusting icons, thin font intended only for young people with good eyesight. Brr..But still I thought, I'll try it and if I don't like it, I'll go back. After all, I bought an ipad and an ipod with some software for which the devices are designed and designed. What if it is slower, the battery will last me less, as the manufacturer guaranteed me at the time of purchase. So I'll go back and let the manufacturer deal with it.
The fact that apple doesn't allow going back shows its arrogance. We created something and that creation must be a success, no matter what happens. We must not allow users to come back to us. We know what is for their good.
After many years and dozens of purchased devices, the apple suddenly starts to taste a little bitter to me.
Try turning on bold text… settings-general-accessibility-bold text…
Maybe I wrote it wrong, but I don't have the system installed. It annoys me that on my iPad the update settings icon lights up. Is there any way to disable it in the settings? I'm afraid that the people who borrow my ipad will "fuck" the update and I'll be soapy..
The system could always be rolled back. Not officially, but it can be done without any problems. Even when I used an iPhone, I used it with the old 3G.
You can read about it on the forums.
Perhaps…?! If I can - I'll like to take a look at the crayons...
It's good, I'm still on 6.1.3... I thought a lot, but in the end I stuck with the beautiful glass icons, the contacts that look like a notebook... One day I'll have a 7, but for now I can enjoy the "old and outdone" look that I've always loved so much on iOS. If I want coloring books, I'll go to WP8, even Android is nicer... But it's about personal opinion, some people like flat design, so why not...!
For example, I am now afraid that when I lend the iPad to my little nephew, he will knock off the flashing update in the settings. Is there no way to disable it? I looked at it, I couldn't find anything. I will have to do the training..:)
It also lights up there and it really annoys me - it probably won't be possible to turn it off, right? I tried HR but it still downloads automatically. interestingly, on the second iPhone, no…
Hello, does anyone know how to go back to ios6? Who knew I'll go for coffee!!!! I have an i5 and I'm from Brno. If it doesn't work, I'm leaving!!!! :( thanks
Give it time, I don't see a single reason not to have iOS5 on the iP7. The fact that someone doesn't like the way it looks is purely a matter of habit. And now I don't mean getting used to something worse, but getting used to the fact that it's simply different. Get used to the change.
Thanks for the consolation, but that appearance was why he came here and spent the money for it. It's like when you choose the exact car you want and when you put it under warranty, they return it to you with a different color, interior, and exactly the way you wouldn't have chosen it even for half the price. If I don't give an update for people who want the old look, I'll sell it. It looks the same now when I turn it on like a Nokia for CZK 1.500.
why did you install it then? iOS 7 has been written about for quite a few weeks now, there are a million screenshots and videos on the net, and you could wait until someone you know installs it... and then decide whether to install it or not.
I didn't know it, an update popped up and I broke it :( I didn't expect this at all. What's coming out of the house
for how much? :) i'll buy it (what's his memory?)
I'll buy it from you for two... It sucks, but I'll do it for you. ;)
Thanks, but even for six, I'd rather trample him in protest :)))
David, I have exactly the same opinion. A fatal error occurred tonight... a friend made me upgrade to Ios 7 and I've been searching the net for about three hours to get back! It's terrible, I'm crying and if it doesn't work, I'll sell the Iphone 5 even at a loss to buy a new one while it's still available. It's really a mega disappointment from Apple!!!!!!
I'm really sorry I can't go back to iOS 6. I'm severely visually impaired and have trouble making out the titer icons - the biggest problem is in Safari, so I guess I'll have to find another browser. But it will not have the reader function, which they also ditched in 7, you can no longer change the cut or font size. In short, I'm unlucky. If I want to use VoiceOver, there are such serious errors that basically make it impossible to use the reader, you can't set the typing response to words only, etc. There is also a problem with the BT keyboard from Logitech, which, for example, does not work when authorizing the WIFI network. Another problem is that I can't connect the iPad even from iTunes in WIN XP. I asked for advice on one of the discussions, I was told to get WIN7. Thank you for the advice, I hope the person in question meant to buy me the Pitchfork. I didn't want to install iOS7, but I want a new iPad with a higher capacity, where iOS7 will already be pre-installed. Apple's tech support is only there for itself, designed to appear to exist. I came to Apple precisely because its products were adapted to the visually impaired, with iOS 7 this company took a step back. I will consider a solution from Android.
It is possible to make the font bigger and bolder...
Yes, but the bolding does not apply to the icons. The font in the bookmarks is not bold enough even after bolding. It was readable in iOS6. I enlarged the font to the maximum, I have bold turned on from the very beginning.
Another error: I'm writing an email about errors at the same time, and I jump into Safari, then back to email, and what happens? All of a sudden, the cursor disappears in the written email, I can turn off the BT keyboard, it has no effect, turn it on, point with my finger and absolutely nothing happens. There is no cursor, and the detailed email cannot be scrolled. So I hope to find it in drafts.
The only option is to send a complaint to Apple. Or contact service. I think
that they will find a solution.
Design - at night, the "cleanliness" everywhere is dazzling, otherwise I have no reservations. Speed - sometimes faster, sometimes choppy animations (iPad 4). Durability - the same. But what really pissed me off, and forgive me for the expression – on iOS6 I could play music from YouTube by playing a video and letting it play in the background, which I can't do on 7! For me, it's a very important thing, especially in the evening when I'm lying in bed with my iPad and I want to play some specific music! I don't want to download everything, it's on a stick! Give me back this feature and I'll say "hey" for seven. Definitely not until then!
Fortunately, there are still applications that support this. I managed to find it after all!
I'm drawing this now, guess what plx. Thanks
At 6, this is how McTube fakes it. Try it if it works even on 7. I don't update.
In the settings, you can turn on which apps should run in the background, try setting it there - it's new in iOS7
Well, this never worked for me on YouTube, not even on the six, and it always annoyed me. That's why I preferred to play stuff from deezer or iTunes.
so google has to solve this by optimizing the app for iOS7... similarly, they have already done soundcloud and others, it works perfectly.
Before iOS 7 came out, I was an Apple fan and I couldn't let them go. Now I wonder what happened to them. It feels similar to switching from a Ferrari to an Octavka. Hopefully, they will gradually and especially fine-tune it with updates. I wish so, but somehow I stop believing it after the kicks they've been showing there lately.
Hello, today I wanted to use a compass with a compass with spendlike on the map and somehow I found out that it probably doesn't work anymore, which is quite useful, or does anyone know how to turn it on??
Perhaps I'm not the only one who likes iOS 7 almost without reservation. I would definitely not go back. I quickly get used to the few details in which it is worse, and overall I am always happy when I surf in the 7. Updates will surely fix some of the shortcomings. Kudos to the guys from Apple for me!
Today I downloaded iOS 7 to my mother's iPad 2 (I disabled it on the company's 12 phones) and made her a bit of a guinea pig...

Agreed, white on white, horror... For example, in Safari, a menu before the searched options, which is perhaps an absolutely unsuccessful, embarrassing mistake... after this experience, I downloaded Chrome for iPad, which I never thought of. The Czech calendar shows the abbreviated names of the months, but July and June are ČVN and ČVC... White background when viewing photos, sorting photos, the inability to enlarge previews... iBooks did not change... Taking photos... I first clicked on the video, but then I realized that I had to drag it swipe up down and the option will change (quite confusing). Game center, delaying animations in the introduction... Vodea, again the impossibility of enlarging previews, white background again... Ugh... If it continues like this with the Mac Book Pro and the system, I'll throw away the computer and start doing carpentry for a living :)
Thanks for the camera…
Intuition alone.. :-), Steve would not let this into the world - I am 100% convinced of that!
Well, I installed the camera immediately, it seemed logical to me.
OK, I guess I'm just a pipe...
But it's like in a car when, for example, the cruise control switches from the levers to the steering wheel - often you can't manage without a manual...
I want to say that, for example, these changes in iOS 7 are purely changes for the sake of changes = self-serving = like when Pepíček wants to do the same thing at any cost differently than Franta even though he knows that Franta's solution is OK....
I don't think about it like that and I always look for the positive in everything. try it like that, in life, in everything :-)
Btw, I know that when some pages change their layout, I threaten the readers for a week and then they won't want to come back :-)
And I'm also in the anus, unfortunately my SimpleTV application, through which I used both iPhone and iPad to watch TV in real time, after installing iOS 7 only works in portrait mode, which is unusable! I'm really upset and I think I'll sell the iPad. it is less than 2 months old, bought on Mall.cz, it is a black version 16GB + 4G, the case for which is completely like new without a single scratch. draft price if interested.
You're not serious :) so wait for the update. Or are you selling everything after some change in SW?
Forget the update - if they wanted these things differently = they would have changed it during the Beta. That's for the first time.
And secondly, it will take some significant updating - remember the maps before the Googlemaps application came, it took about 4 months (I don't know exactly) and I'm guessing that Google wasn't the one who delayed it...
I note that I don't like Google, I'm a fan of APPLA, but Googlemaps is something that simply can't be described as The Best!!!
I meant to update the app not the OS
Unfortunately, the SimpleTV app is no longer in store. I'm afraid that none of the developers will pay attention to it anymore and change it to the ios7 environment... Otherwise, I also have it and therefore keep ios6 on my iPad... Unfortunately, I've already tried the iPhone...
To all who don't like the new iOS 7 :) HANG IN. When I installed the first iOS 7 beta in July, I thought Apple was crazy, that it couldn't be serious, and I desperately wanted iOS 6 back with "real" wallpapers, buttons, and all those shadows and highlights. Then I thought I would take it as a mental exercise and try to come to terms with it during the month. It's a phone after all, and one shouldn't cling to a piece of iron, no :) Over time, however, I came to like iOS 7, because I understood its new philosophy, and today I wouldn't go back at any cost. iOS 7 unequivocally and perhaps a little stubbornly prioritizes content (web, albums, photos...) over form (bars, icons, buttons, background...), it tries to interfere with it as little as possible. Hence the spartan simplicity. At first it seems confusing and confusing, but after a few days it settles in and suddenly you start liking it. It has a lot of gadgets that you don't even know about at first. So give it a chance for a month or two before you decide to go back to iOS 6 :) Believe me, someone thought about it for a few months and it's a step in the right direction.
Here is an interesting video:
http://www.theverge.com/2013/9/18/4741724/ios-7-review
I respect this opinion, but I don't really share it, after all, this was written even after the introduction of Beta...
That's what APPLE has done more about fashion than about ergonomics, it seems to me that APPLE really has a lot of paid contributors - because on the website the opinions are about 50:50, but in reality I will not meet a person who would tell me that after testing iOS 7 what you write - I'm really curious what my friends will say now with the sharp version - even if I don't know if they'll go for it...
I think that such a sharp change is simply excessive and if it was possible to understand the reasons for the maps - here the arguments for the change are really representative.
On Wednesday I installed ios 7 on my iPhone, I was torn about it, but today I have it on my iPad too and I'm satisfied :-). No, there are a couple of small things to adjust (unremarkable capslock, missing option to reject the call - silenced), but there are many more positives.
I like Apple products for many reasons, but certainly not unconditionally. And Apple certainly doesn't pay me anything, rather I pay them :) I understand your point, I was in exactly the same situation. I just wanted to share my experience.
I installed IOs7 as soon as it came out and I'm absolutely thrilled with it, as are my wife and mother-in-law. It has a few minor bugs, but apple is still working on its products, so I think it will get even better.
Do you really think that this hastily made OS has any philosophy??? I don't think so and I don't go quietly.
Pete, I understand, but it's true that one should think and think until one tries the OS somewhere. Like in the store.
I think he has a philosophy, and it's quite obvious. But I am only expressing my opinion. It affects everyone differently, and this discussion is proof of that.
How many philosophers does Apple employ? :)
At least one Johny Ive...:-).
When I always see him talking dreamily on video – almost never live…. That's what I call myself - Philosopher :-).
I really like him for HW Design = there is little to complain about and they are works of art, but SW... - being a Cook, I'll fire him from that position - he just can't do this - sorry!
last change was 1 => 0
I disagree, iOS 7 has all the symptoms of a brand new team getting this task:
– you must make a new System within a year
– must be visually completely different
– must be equally intuitive
– must have exactly such and such improvements
– must be equally or better functioning
The result is almost always similar to that of iOS 7 - it looks like something completely different and a complete layman would probably not look for much connection between iOS 6 and 7 - definitely not a difference of only 1 generation. IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC, where a lot of people are cheering for the conservatism of the Octavia type, which has remained the same since 1996 - such changes simply do not do any good
I'm not exactly a conservative, but I totally agree :)
I completely agree, I change my iPhone every year from the iPhone 3G, including the updates of individual iOS, there was always something new but it was always the same, I really respect J. Ivo and what he created is exactly according to his style, just like Jobs, he is a minimalist and sees the beauty in simplicity, the iOS 7 is a change for all Apps, but I have to say that after a few days I got the hang of iOS 7 and I can't imagine that I should go back to the "old" stereotypical iOS 6, I like changes and iOS I think 7 is a change forward! it's bright, simple, yes, a few things bother me, but otherwise I'm completely satisfied and since I've had the iP5 since the first day of release, you can say that I now have a completely "new" phone!
The only thing that personally bothers me are some errors and lack of debugging on ipads :-) otherwise I agree.... Something nice ends to give birth to something terrible.
The Apple company is built on the foundations of the so-called Niche marketing, i.e. the market for specific end customers, all of them swearing at any changes that Apple makes, I consider them to be, I would call it, poly-end customers who bought an iPhone but do not share Apple's thinking, other brands like Apple they are coca-cola, redbull, starbucks, ferrari, vertu, etc. Try going to starbucks and they will tell you that they have better cappuccino foam at costa cafe, so they will make you the same as there, otherwise you will start going to costa, they will probably tell you to relax the kid from starbucks makes foam according to their know-how and that you don't have to go to them, and if you change the production process and they put coffee in a purple cup with a rabbit and not a white one with the starbucks logo, just like apple canceled the transition from ios7 to ios6, you you simply don't put a cup of coffee in that white cup, but you will drink it in purple without bullshit because you just like starbucks coffee, so in short, if you don't like Apple's logic and steps, you will never be satisfied because you are probably not the right end customer that Apple is looking for focused on market segmentation :-))
I would agree with that if Apple made the foam taste the same, but they changed it. Customers probably wouldn't like it if the same coffee for several years suddenly had a different taste.
Here, the solution of one person with whom his views were shared by millions of people was accepted and now there is a change. So the comparison is irrelevant. I'm always happy for a change, but not in this way. It reminds me quite a bit of changing Win7 to Win8, but there the ratio of those who don't want it is even worse.
Nonsense ... all the mentioned companies suffer from the fact that they always do things the same way ... if they gave Coke a new flavor, they will offer it as an alternative and the original Coke is still on sale (150-year-old recipe). Of course, it changes both its logo and the composition of the original recipe, but only through an evolutionary change. I can't imagine that every day they would only make orange Cola and there was no other available... the same with Lamborghini... they also won't start making cars with a teardrop design without straight lines ala Porsche (and those cars would at least be driven by iOS7 and she used advice just as well).
Irrelevant text, there's nothing else to do but get used to it, I'm not going to throw away 20k
How about trying to sell it?
you can also take it as experience for sure, even the phone will eventually wear out or otherwise cease to be usable (loss, broken by falling against a concrete wall after iOS7 upgrade ;-) and the like.
Well, then you will decide who will be held hostage... will it be Apple again?
I like the system a lot more than I don't like it, but I can't get past some things. For example, those appalling icons...
It doesn't give me:
So:
1) a person buys an item according to the overall impression. I chose IP5 because I liked both HW and SW. When someone changes your operating system to something you don't like and at the same time doesn't allow you to go back to what you bought... that's rudeness and a rip off to customers in my opinion. And BTW is this even legal???
2) The argument of some of you: "you'll get used to it" Please?? It's like if I repaired your mixer for 20 NOK, returned it to you in a different color and said "you'll get used to it"
3) The argument that you "maybe you knew what you were updating to" Is this supposed to be a joke?? On the one hand, many here claim that "you have to try it, how brilliant it is" and on the other hand, you want a person to make a decision based on the presentation on the NET. Based on presentations, nice speeches applu…uff. How do you buy a car? also only according to technical specifications and photos?
4) You can install a different calendar. Sure, and then also a browser, maps, navigation... and then you'll probably be OK. Well, I guess for that money it could all work, right? I don't want to play around with my calendar...I want mine to work.
I personally managed to downgrade from ios7 to ios6 on my moon and something old IP5. What I know for sure is that my next phone won't be Apple. I don't like to be plowed with. I was buying one of the most expensive phones on the market and I want quality. Instead, I became a hostage to a juggernaut that decides what I should like. When Cook will run around the stage again, how they painted Android and what percentage of Apple users use their latest system... it's probably clear when they don't give their users a practical choice. I'm mad….really mad….
Watch what we're talking about here folks. Poor kid with eye problems who won't read it, kid who is afraid of accidentally installing it when he lends someone's ipad... This isn't normal...
Thanks!!
You are speaking from my heart - I am a total APPLE fan, I have spent several hundred thousand CZK on their HW in the last 2 years alone and brought many acquaintances to this platform - no, I did not sell it to them - I just sold them my total satisfaction!
But iOS 7 is a 180-degree turn. = although it was already known that the quality was "somewhat" compromised... I think that at least technically educated people must have realized that the iP5 from Al is not exactly progress and certainly not the blackening they applied!!!
APPLE only did it to reduce production costs and then made the iP 5 slightly more expensive... I'm writing on a white iP5 myself now... I was really surprised - how much the users liked the shit...
I hope that I can somehow get iOS 2 back to the iPad6 - but it will probably take a lot of work...
Agreed… I am not an Apple income group – I work in a warehouse and have an ipad on installments. One of the biggest reasons for the purchase was the environment of the system: that cursed skeuomrphism today. I just like it when the notes look like a notebook, I like the "glass" icons and I really don't like the appearance differences between Win and Android. I know it's just the environment - but it's also why I chose Apple, and the repayments. I have an iPad 2 and it's my last tablet for a long time (if I can even afford another one...) and as much as I didn't like the first Androids - the performance/price ratio is important to me and similar experiments like iOS 7 only confirm my decision to let Apple be Apple.
The only thing that bothers me is that ios 7 is not the same debugging speed as ios 6. I don't mind everything else :-)
even if they released it a year and a half later without errors, I would be much better :-) I just hope that apple does not rest on its laurels and will go with the development as fast as in the case of ios 7 when it turned the first beta into a usable system within 3 months :-)
every new system is slower compared to the previous one.
Thank God, I thought I was the only one who thought these things. Apple isn't as "cool" to me as it used to be. And yes, that's probably the death of Steve.
This Peat:
"When someone changes your operating system to something you don't like and at the same time doesn't allow you to go back to what you bought....in my opinion, that's rudeness and a rip-off to customers."
Peate, did someone change your operating system? Didn't you change it by chance yourself, quite voluntarily, after a lot of positive and negative reviews and experiences of beta testers appeared on the forums?
It reminds me of the laments of those who downloaded iOS7 immediately after release and the servers were overloaded. They did it voluntarily, even though they could hold out and download without problems, for example.
But otherwise, thanks to all of you scapegoats - you will surely catch flies, force Apple to update, fix and improve, and I, a normal user, will only download a refined and tuned system, I will download it myself, voluntarily and when I want, and then I will not go crazy on forum that the supplier tripped me up.
To Dalibor:
Well, I couldn't do it and I registered because of some "intos" who know everything best.. Just a reminder, I loved and relatively still love Apple products from the Mac Classic, I still have one at home, I sold these computers today I only work on them. But I hate totally stupid answers like this. Smart Mr. Dalibor, and when you think you have to restore the system, what will probably happen, do you think you have a choice, that you stand back and let this flow around you, and then what, Mr. Smart... If you want to be smart, think about all the possibilities and mainly by what the person you are replying to wrote - what about the poor boy who can't see properly. I don't wish anything bad on anyone, but I would really like you to try for a moment what it is like to be disadvantaged like this and beyond the solution..!!
Finally, some objective iOS user. The 7 is a piece of crap, and I still feel sorry for those who have a 4 and were told that the update would also be for them, and lo and behold, the device is almost unusable and you can't downgrade. At the time, the 4 also cost a few thousand. Also, I won't buy the Apple 4S again even by mistake :(
to Peate: Thanks, one of the first relatively normal observations and comments.
to others: yes, a person gets used to anything, I get used too, but what bothers me a lot is that the way back is locked. Why? I therefore need to test applications and their transition to iOS7. Why? Because our customers are worried that by switching to iOS7 they have lost data inside the Apple application, and I am in trouble because now I can't reproduce the customer's upgrade/procedure and check whether in some obscure cases data from the application is really lost or it just needs to be stopped read.
In conclusion: I don't mind the system, nor the change, but the possibility of "the only right choice" !! It bothers me a lot, I recognize the censorship of the code and other things about the appstore etc.
so Ios6 cannot be returned and I have no other option but to complain about the iPad, itunes doesn't work on XP and I don't want to buy a new laptop because of that, thank you Apple
there is already a guide on how to make itunes work on XP :-)
Somehow I'm missing the discussion here. Why wouldn't it be possible to go back to 6.1.3.? Isn't it enough to download the IPSW file and upload it there via iTunes? I don't think so.
I'm trying now and it doesn't work... I even tried it via internal restore in RedSn0w and also without success
you can't read the news or what? apple just blocked it! undermined our feet! :(
Do you think that if I have downloaded the 6.1.3 ipsw file from the time when Apple still signed 6.1.3, that the restore in iTunes will still not work? PS I hope that someone will figure out how to return iOS6 back, because seven is really HUMOUS!!!!!
It doesn't work, I put it everywhere and it doesn't work
Do you also feel that you are hot as the wave starts to grow on your back? Lately, I've had a similar feeling, so I think it's high time to wrap it up. As soon as my iPhone 4s wears off, I'll go to the barber and get that wave cut. I'm really looking forward to getting rid of all that Apple crap.
I have the feeling that I already have the wave everywhere..
The question is if it will be sold, my iPhone 4 can't keep up. I turn on the En dictionary, for example, the display turns green and it crashes... Really great! I don't know what to do with it at all. Reinstall?
Some comments come to me like in the past from the workers when they gave them machines and they beat them up because they said they were taking away their work and they didn't want to use them because they had been doing it the same way until then and now some new things. And try giving someone a hand tool today and let them show off. If it doesn't kill you straight away, they'll at least laugh at you and won't do anything about it. And the same tips of people here are commenting on the new iOS 7. The more sensible ones get along with it, and the idiots who are afraid of any change here cry over their own inability to learn something new. Human nature doesn't change, only the environment changes. I have iOS 7 on an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2, and I like it so much that sometimes I just sit down and enjoy the system. I love colors because even life is colorful and I enjoy living and am an eternal optimist. What pleased me the most is that the hideous gray imitation in the background disappeared. And when I compare the old versions of apps for iOS 6 with the new ones for 7, I don't even want to use the older ones. And just an addendum for those who have a hard time seeing. I am one of them too, and the new system is much better for me than the old one.
It's very difficult to get used to it when my battery went down by up to 20 percent, maybe...otherwise, I find ios7 quite fine except for a few small things, but it's just that I slowly can't even work on the phone, because I'm afraid that it will drain right away it's a fart...
Hell, someone buys it for 16 to have something to enjoy in life and someone else invests in it for work...
As far as I know, it's called a telephone and it's used for making PHONE calls, for everything else I have a COMPUTER and I use it at WORK as a work tool. In my case, it suits me this way for years, but there are certainly a lot of people who would like one thing to be for everything. Use it to make calls, then attach the wheels, drive to the meeting there, turn on Siri, discuss the matter through it, then maybe attach the wings for vacation and in the evening after the party, turn on the water fountain, take a shower, and then use Voice Over to say good night. because maybe no one else will chat with you. But if the poor guy gets on your phone, you should give him some salary.
For that crazy money, it certainly shouldn't be just a phone.
I would say that with this comment you have really contradicted your educational lecture about learning a new thing, which can be explained in a few words.
Nowadays, only the elderly use the phone only for making calls. You may not have noticed it, but times have changed and today's cell phone is more of a communicator than a telephone, and in many cases (even mem) calling is only a peripheral matter. Much more than the phone, I use it daily for e-mails, notes, planning meetings, etc.
Connecting to the web is a necessity, and without it today's phones can only function half of the time (if at all).
For these functions, I also bought this mobile for 16 thousand and not cheap for 2.
The thing is that it works and is used well. This was how Apple products were declared and forced users who had no plans to do so to shell out higher sums than they originally thought they could invest in a device of this type.
The GUI is the basis of today's mobile (communicator) and tablet... if a non-negligible number of users get worse because of it, something is wrong. You can experiment with features and design, but never with the GUI. The same applies to mobile devices regarding battery life. If the jumps are significantly reduced, it registers users (especially those who have the given thing for WORK) far more intensively than the graphical wow masturbation called parallax effect.
I didn't deny anything, my phone is primarily for calling and I have a laptop at work on which I use all the things you mentioned, and yes, it is transferred to my iPhone and all Apple devices. So, if necessary, I do it on my mobile phone or iPad, but I find it more convenient and, above all, faster, on a Macbook. But I responded to an interviewer who was upset that the new iOS was preventing him from working. I personally did not notice anything that would prevent us from using the iPhone 4 the way I used the phone before, on the contrary, it is more convenient and, above all, more pleasant. Today, however, there is a tendency to use one device for a million things and none of them properly. So, once again, a phone primarily for calling, a MacBook for work, a camera for photography, and an iPad for entertainment. when needed, I know that a lot of these things can be done on the phone, and sometimes I do, but only as an emergency. If you want and enjoy it, do it all on your phone. From my point of view, it is not pleasant. And maybe if you hadn't invested 16 but 000, you would have come to the same opinion. (maybe) I have a phone for sixteen thousand because it all communicates with each other and is, to a certain extent, interchangeable with each other, and not because I don't like it everything. It's stupidly called an ecosystem.
PS The amount of phones sold and the iOS share of 58% of all iOS also says something. And don't tell me that everyone is masturbating over the Parallax effect. So you're probably a little confused.
Written by an apple seller :)
No, I'm not an Apple dealer. I wouldn't do that, I have my own company.
I would correct your witty and useful comment.
"The more sensible ones will get along with it and the idiots eventually too" because there is no other way.
Anyway, it's pointless to discuss this now.
By the way, I didn't understand your comparison to a manual tool, but that's probably my stupidity ;)
Personally, I don't mind iOS7, even if it still needs tuning.
Just one example, earlier every carpenter had at least fifteen types of planers, hafo chisels and various tools, and today you may find joiners where they don't have and maybe don't even know a planer and maybe only a circular saw. And if they had to do it with hand tools today, they wouldn't be able to do it. Do you know how difficult it is to push a new product on the market? A lot of companies don't succeed or don't want to do it and they go in a rut and in time they lose to those who risked it. Apple has the strength and willingness to take risks, and that's what I like about it, that it doesn't listen to the backsliders and innovates and does things its own way.
Yes, they would like to tune it in the same way as they tuned the basic iOS to version 6 before they turned it off, so I think that in two years at the most they will tune this version as well. But that's not the reason why I should condemn the whole of iOS 7. If you do everything brilliantly the first time, you're probably the only one in the world. But for most people, it works so that you do something, then you find out what works and what didn't quite work and you fix it, and other users will advise you of something (that you didn't think of) when they start using it. It's a completely normal procedure, Luď, and it also applies to Apple.
In addition, many things can be set in iOS 7 and the phone can be customized to your satisfaction. Instead of learning with him, it is better and more "fashionable" for many people to scold him.
I can't help but reply – is the hideous imitation in the background gone???? HM, you probably didn't notice that, on the contrary, the texture of the wet glass remained exactly the same - they only brightened it - which significantly worsened the readability... But parallax - it's wow - a feature, right??? Totally useless by the way!!
??
There are still a lot of people complaining about readability and background movement - have you tried Settings - General - Accessibility? There are items Larger font, Bold text, Higher contrast, Limit movement... The system can be set beautifully
That's great advice, but it's still going to be a bit of a mess :( a text-like button, what will happen next, text instead of icons?
Dear …. it sucks, this morning I unknowingly messed up my iPhone 5 with the 7 virus and I've been in a bad mood since morning... I tried to fix it and go back to nice, understandable iOS 6 and it doesn't work.. I already had the urge to throw the 5 -tkov's Phone against the wall and take out my old 4S from the drawer ... and I don't care about children's icons - damn it, but when I click on anything - starting with contacts, ending with a calculator, my stomach rises ... it's - as if my The 75-year-old father-in-law was doing graphics... and when I want to dial a number and the circles at the bottom with the dial sticker are winking at me!!!!!! so even my wife laughed (and she has a 3G phone) ... that I'm a Vůůůl and I pulled the 7-dmičkojkoy on my phone .. just to the Edge .. if someone was getting away with feelings for graphics - I'm an architect, me, my my wife and son and others around me only have Apple - I myself have several iMacs in the office ... I've only been in contact with Apple for ten years, so I think that Live with Mac is in my blood ... and this is a pathetic leaning towards Win 8, Android or where ….
PS whoever reinstalls iOS 6 for me will get premium reward 724023707

Couldn't it be rolled back to some iOS7 beta version, and from that back to iOS 6.1.4? It just occurred to me when I read your post
Unfortunately, I tried it yesterday and the article shows that it is no longer possible (see above)
As for professional growth, you'd probably be surprised, but I'm quite in favor of modern architecture and I accept new procedures, but with caution! No less, the environment in which a person works and creates, whether small or large, values, in my opinion, should be such that it suits you, so that you feel good in it. The graphics of iOS 7 are simply bad, confusing - of course there are a lot of new things and probably a lot of good things. I sit 7 days, 10-12 hours a day at the computer and look at OSX for ten years, so my eyes are used to a certain standard. This kind of flat nothing that resembles a broken letter really did not excite me. :-)
(but it is a fact that colleagues and friends who have IP4/5 and at the same time work on WIN 7/8 will not find it so terrible...)
Are you using old ways in your profession? If you are not learning new things in your field of architecture, then it is probably professional suicide! A little perspective wouldn't hurt.
Elias, Elias, you are...
IDIOT, you couldn't think of anything else ;) Gods
Miroslav, if you are relieved, there is one more satisfied person in the world and that is good. And Mr. Skořep, you are right
I also unfortunately broke my iPhone 4 with a seven. I would get over the graphics degradation, but unfortunately all reaction times slowed down a lot.
When filtering contacts, when I want to call someone, it sometimes takes 10 seconds before something starts to happen, or the GaiaGPS maps have a 5-second refresh when moving the maps. Does Bluetooth connect with handsfree in the car, etc.
On ios6 it was not only nice, but also fast and stable.
Hello,
I will try to write down all the impressions from iOS4 after 7 days of use, which I perceive as !difficult! visually impaired iPad user compared to iOS 6.1:
+ control center – the text of some notifications can be enlarged
+ switching applications and how to close them - more intuitive - if you look at the preview, you immediately know which application you are working with
+ search field without Home button
+ option to choose another Czech voice during the reading function
+ control center – simplifying the control of the most frequently used functions
+ MAIL – enlargement of letters in the preview of received messages
+ SAFARI: only one line for entering addresses and searching
+ CAMERA: + HDR
I note that I make full use of the facilitation: I have set all fonts to the largest possible, I have set bold font:
Cons:
– white color as a background tiring for the eyes during any work (it is necessary to use color inversion more often – it concerns e.g. notes), meaningless white background color in Images
– controls (icons) are too weak throughout the iOS user experience (does not apply to third-party applications)
– software keyboard: the contrast (gray with gray) has been reduced, when the individual keys merge, while in some places of the system a contrasting black keyboard is displayed, in some the original one from iOS6.
Cons of individual applications:
Calendar: the number font on the icon is too weak
Clock: contours too weak
Notes: white notes background
Settings: the font has been reduced
Contacts: the font has been reduced
AppStore: white background color, app description font has been reduced
SAFARI:
– controls require precision to press – too small
– the page loading status is displayed on the tabs, so it is less visible
– bookmarks: the font has been reduced
– stability: Safari crashes – e.g. if I want to comment on posts on Jablíčkář, there are more posts, the application crashes.
VOICEOVER:
– BUG – typing response change for hardware keyboard not working. This means that when a person writes, Voiceover reads the entered characters and words, if a person is to listen to a lecture and take notes, for example, it cannot be done with such a setting.
– the handwriting function cannot be used in practice, it is very unreliable – I tried to enter letters in different ways, but I did not succeed at all with some characters, there should be instructions for this, patterns of how to write by hand on the display.
Pages and VoiceOver
– when writing, VoiceOver pauses for a while, stops reading, it is necessary to go to the beginning and end of the document several times for VoiceOver to read again.
Connectivity with WinXP - iTunes 11.1
– iTunes does not recognize the device and reports the error 0xE8000003 The instructions that are available on the website in the discussions are not functional. Many people still have WinXP today, non-profits and low-income groups have no reason to buy an upgrade to Win7 on their often old machines because of Apple.
It's certainly not all, but it's enough :)
even though I use my mobile phone normally, and I'm a little irritated by the prominent controls, for example when receiving a call, what annoys me the most is the white background, without trying to create a clear system, whether in contacts, calendar, phone's numeric keypad and elsewhere .. as I already wrote it's so white, flat and expressionless, it seems to me like a concept of a letter and not like an intuitive, clear system ... as I've always been used to with Apple OSX or iOS .. it's too minimalistic, while a little subtle refined "Apple" would be enough graphics. But maybe with time, when the man who runs it is fired due to public pressure, they will do something :-)
Otherwise, of course, iOS7 also has its advantages - I don't deny that again .. but we could probably chat endlessly about that here ....
…. one more note: in the past, when Apple made significant changes to the system, it also enabled the setting of the so-called "classic layout", most recently with OS 10.8, for example. for the MAIL application... wasn't it precisely because many Apple users are very conservative? – and do they like quality, well-thought-out and functional things and don't like to change them?
From my industry, I have proven that, for example, a high-quality atypical. a person can have furniture for a lifetime and never get tired of it... the cheap ones from mass production are thrown away after two years... (and this applies to almost everything we come into contact with.) I think that Jobs felt the same way and approached Apple in exactly the same way.
Has anyone tried installing some iOS7 beta and then installing iOS 6.1.3 from it? Restoring from iTunes is most likely authenticating to some Apple server that won't allow it. Wouldn't it help to enter the hosts file in %SystemRoot%system32driversetchosts to authenticate at the local address 127.0.0.1?
I thought about it too, but like you, I don't have the answers, so I don't know whether to get into it...
So there are probably only three options on the menu. Go from Apple (stupid). Hoping the system on the iP4 gets faster with updates (unlikely). Wait and buy iP5S (more than likely).
The third option is more than interesting for Apple...
it didn't help, alas - I tried
I think that after intensively using iOS 7, I already understood what Ive's vision was, how iOS 7 should look and feel. I, like him, like the idea very much - modern, clear, minimalist and at the same time more cheerful. Unfortunately, he failed miserably and no one at Apple other than Jobs had the balls to tell him. Banning a downgrade a week after release is bullshit.
And what about downgrading to 4.2.1 (Apple continues to sign). After that, it is enough to gradually improve to 6.1.3 or 6.1.4.
does it really work? Do you think it will work on my iPhone 4S?
Unfortunately, I installed it too. He seems childish at first glance, slow and empty at second glance. I'll throw the phone away and pray that they don't mess up MacOS like this...
If OSX "shrinks" like iOS, I can't wait.
We have 2 iPhone 4S at home. After the update to 7, the battery life dropped very quickly (most functions turned off according to the instructions). Before, it was certain that it would last more than one day. Now it will easily drop by 40% overnight... The phone is to be thrown away... And carrying the battery to recharge it is a waste
Does it make sense to buy an iP5? Is there battery drain too? Will it last more than a day?
Díky
Hello, in my opinion, this new operating system does not take much for me either!! What's enough for me a broken FaceTime !!! They didn't even know what to do at the store! It works on iPad and not on iPhone4. So I'm not getting dizzy?!!;-(
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who hates iOS7...
Subtitles on foreign servers are also interesting:
“How To Make Your New iOS 7 Home Screen Less Ugly” …
:D
how can you add a new reminder on IOS 7? I can overwrite the old one and I can't set the new one - that is, the day and hour.
