Roguelites and roguelikes, i.e. games that force you to constantly improve, because every death means the need to play a new adventure, have been released in recent years. At the same time, only a handful of them manage to go down in video game history as projects that offer something original to the flood of such titles. And while the card subgenre has found its god in Slay the Spire and frenetic combat you'll enjoy the most in Hades, if you're after a more methodical takedown of enemies and metroidvania-style world exploration, you couldn't get any better than the award-winning Dead Cells.

The game from the studio Motion Twin offers a complexly interconnected two-dimensional world that you will discover in the skin of a constantly dying warrior. At the same time, balance and the ability to learn the combat tactics of diverse enemies play a major role in the ubiquitous fights. Mindless slashing really won't get you very far here. However, in defeating various skeletons and demons, various weapons and an offer of special abilities will come to your aid, which will make each passage a completely unique experience.

If even such variations are not enough for you, Dead Cells also offers daily challenges that test your abilities with specifically selected features of the new game. After successful playthroughs, three downloadable contents in the form of Rise of the Giant, The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls DLC are also waiting for you, each of which adds several new levels and new bosses. If you don't want to sit at a computer with Dead Cells, you can also download on mobile devices with iOS.
