In connection with the currently ongoing epidemic of the new coronavirus, a number of questions arise regarding the operation of some Chinese companies. Among them are, for example, Apple's partners and suppliers. While usually the end of January or the beginning of February is marked by a partial restriction of traffic due to the celebration of the Lunar New Year, this year the aforementioned epidemic is at play.

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., better known as Foxconn, for example, plans to impose a two-week quarantine for all employees returning to work at its main iPhone manufacturing base. With this measure, the management of the company wants to prevent the possible spread of the new coronavirus. However, regulations of this type could have a negative impact on Apple's production.

Foxconn is still one of Apple's most important manufacturing partners. According to the original plan, its operation should start after the end of the extended Lunar New Year, i.e. on February 10. Foxconn's main factory is located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. According to the company's official statement, employees who have been outside this area in the past few weeks will have to undergo a fourteen-day quarantine. Workers who remained in the province will be ordered to self-isolate for a week.

The new coronavirus has latest data more than 24 people have already been infected, almost five hundred patients have already succumbed to the disease. The disease originated in the city of Wuhan, but it gradually spread not only to mainland China, but also to Japan and the Philippines, and Germany, Italy and France also reported being infected. Due to the new coronavirus epidemic, Apple closed its branches and offices in China until February 9. Coronavirus map shows the clear spread of the coronavirus.
