Fans of the company have known for a long time that ecology is important to Apple. Apple tries to be as gentle as possible to the natural environment, both within its own facilities and through its suppliers. All company buildings, research and development centers, offices and shops use fully renewable resources. Apple also requires its suppliers to operate as green as possible, and the company seems to be doing quite well in this regard.

Dnes rano published Apple's press release states that the company has achieved a major environmental milestone with its key suppliers. Apple has succeeded in doubling the number of component and technology suppliers who have committed to compliance, or fulfilling the commitment to use 100% renewable energy sources for its operation.

Among the newly 100% ecological suppliers are giants such as Foxconn, Pegatron and Wistron, who are mainly responsible for the production and assembly of iPhones. They will also be joined by the company Corning, which is involved in the production of tempered glass that Apple uses in iPhones and iPads, or the giant TSMC, where Apple has its processors and co-processors manufactured.

In practice, the commitments that suppliers sign up to mean that all manufacturing and contract processing that the companies do for Apple will be powered purely by renewable sources. It is not the case that all companies will switch to purely ecological operation out of sheer indifference. Apple's obligations do not apply to other orders. Even so, it is a relatively large step forward in the direction of ecology.

The company also announced its other intentions in Green Bond projects, which support various environmental projects around the world. In this direction, Apple has already invested more than two and a half billion dollars, and tangible results include, for example, a project that allows Apple to use recycled aluminum for the production of the chassis of its MacBooks.
