Commercial messagePhotovoltaic or solar power plants are one of the few available variants of renewable energy sources for family homes. They are environmentally friendly as they ensure that the electricity you use does not come from fossil fuels. At the same time, they are financially advantageous in the long term, which also underlines the possibility of obtaining a state subsidy for their acquisition. What does PV plant consist of and what solutions are available?

What is a photovoltaic power plant?

Photovoltaic power plant (PVE) is a term that in professional parlance does not refer to the concept of solar power plants, but only one of its types. The correct collective term is "photovoltaic system". A photovoltaic power plant is a designation for a type of system that is connected to an external distribution network, but does not have its own batteries. A system which, on the other hand, is not connected to the grid, but has a battery, is called an island system. And finally, if the system is connected to both the batteries and the distribution network, it is a hybrid system.

Photovoltaic systems naturally produce electricity from sunlight. Therefore, their basic elements are solar panels. These are supplemented by an inverter – the heart of the entire solar power plant – and an optional battery. For optimal power plant performance, the panels must have the correct pitch, just as the entire system must be correctly dimensioned, but this should be taken care of by the hired contractor. More information about solar power plants you can find out in the article on Alza.cz.

Photovoltaic systems: payback, lifetime and subsidy options

Depending on the size, the payback of photovoltaic power plants is given in the range of 6 to 10 years, for battery systems with a higher purchase price, it is then 10 to 15 years. This is where the lifetime of photovoltaic systems comes into play, confirming the words about payback. The solar system will operate for 30 years, during which time it will reduce or completely waive electricity payments. If you pay for the system in 10 years, you will only profit from it for the next 20 years. This is a long-term risk-free investment.

In addition, the purchase of a solar system plays into the cards that it is generously subsidized. Thanks to the New Green Savings program, you can get up to CZK 155 for systems connected to the distribution network. Homeowners in the Ústí Region and the Moravian-Silesian Region have the opportunity to receive a 000% higher subsidy (up to CZK 10). With the simultaneous use of the so-called boiler subsidy, you can also receive a subsidy bonus of CZK 170.

A solution for a small house

The solar system for a small house is intended for buildings with a usable area of up to 120 m² (approx. 5 + kk). The annual energy consumption of such a large family house is estimated by analysis at 2 MWh, therefore the photovoltaic power plant (without battery) has an output of 2,52 kWp and the hybrid system 3,250 kWp. The total price after subtracting the subsidy is CZK 84 and CZK 999.

A solution for an average house

Two hybrid systems are available for a medium-sized family house, i.e. up to 250 m² (approximately 6-8 + kk depending on the layout). When purchasing a more premium one of them, you will be entitled to a maximum subsidy of CZK 155.

2

A solution for a large house

Both hybrid systems available for large houses are eligible for a state subsidy of CZK 155. They are intended for houses with a floor area of more than 000 m², which includes large townhouses and family houses and villas.
