As it seems, the crowd frenzy surrounding the Fortnite shooter continues. The game is now three months since its release and is still breaking one record after another. On today's three-month anniversary since entering the App Store, the analytics company Sensor Tower published a milestone that the game managed to achieve - in the 90 days it was available, it managed to earn over $100 million (almost 2,3 billion crowns).

The goal of earning the first hundreds of millions is something that all authors of successful games on the App Store dream of. Epic Games can celebrate, it took them 90 days to reach this milestone, which is the second shortest period in the history of the App Store. Only the massively popular (and also extremely aggressively monetized) game Clash Royale managed to do it faster in a whopping 51 days. On the third place in this regard is the game Knives Out, which managed to do it in 173 days.

The power of the game and the brand itself can also be demonstrated by the fact that out of those 90 days, the game was only available to "invites" for less than 12 weeks. Of course, the number of invitees grew, but general availability in the App Store appeared relatively recently. This could have a negative impact on the volume of generated funds. However, considering the numbers mentioned above, it probably doesn't bother anyone.

If Fortnite is compared to its biggest competitor, which is the title PUBG on the iOS platform (which was released a few days later), the game from the workshop of Epic Games wins hands down. While Fortnite managed to earn more than 100 million, PUBG is "struggling" with earnings exceeding 5 million dollars so far. However, the popularity of both games is considerable, in the case of Fortnite, developers can also look forward to the arrival of the game in the Google Play Store, where it is not yet available. It seems that in this case, the risk of porting the PC version to iOS paid off in the best possible way. How about you, do you play Fortnite/PUBG or are these games completely beyond you?
