Fitbit is far from lazy before the arrival of the Apple Watch and has introduced three new bracelets. The current Fitbit Flex was joined by the Charge, Charge HR and Surge models. From next year, there will be a fierce battle for the area of our wrists, so it is necessary to introduce new models in advance. Compared to the Apple Watch, Fitbit wristbands are attractive due to their lower price and longer battery life per charge.

Charge

The cheapest of the trio will cost $130 (roughly CZK 2) in the US. Compared to its predecessor Flex, which remains on sale for $800 (100 crowns), it offers a two-color OLED display that is able to display daily statistics, the time or the name of the caller. From fitness functions, Fitbit Charge can count steps, measure distance, calculate calories burned, automatically detect sleep, find out the number of floors climbed and time spent in activities. So this is a basic fitness bracelet at a reasonable price. Fitbit claims up to 2 days on a single charge. Fitbit Charge is available for purchase in the US today. Availability in the Czech Republic is not yet known.

Charge HR

Compared to the Charge model, the Fitbit Charge HR differs in terms of functions in the presence of a heart rate monitor. This is recorded continuously, regardless of whether you are sitting, exercising or running. Another difference is the use of a traditional strap buckle, while the Charge has the same strap attachment method as the Flex. The Fitbit Charge HR will cost $150 and will be available in early 2015.

Arises

Fitbit's flagship, if we can call the Surge bracelet that. Although it may look like a smartwatch, it is still a wristband focused on sports activities. Compared to the two previous models, the Surge got a larger touch screen (still two-color), on which you can choose your own dials. Nothing changes even for a five-day endurance, and in addition, a GPS module, a gyroscope and an ambient light sensor are built into such a small body. The Fitbit Charge HR will cost $250 (5 crowns) and will be available for purchase in early 460.

All three mentioned models synchronize the collected data automatically and wirelessly with compatible applications on iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
