At the ongoing CES technology fair, Fitbit presented its first product with a full-color LCD display and a touch interface. The Fitbit Blaze is thus the brand's first direct attack on, for example, the Apple Watch - in the sense that until now Fitbit only offered wristbands without larger displays. Now it promises users a great experience in terms of tracking functions and notifications.

With the Blaze, Fitbit focuses on a more personal concept, so users can choose from a wide range of stylish bands. As is tradition with Fitbit, you will not download any other third-party applications to this device, so users can only improve the exterior according to their imagination.

Blaze has functions such as measuring daily sleep, exercise, steps and calories burned. Among other things, users will also receive FitStar trainings, which will instruct them step by step on performing individual exercises. All data can be easily transferred from the fitness bracelet to iOS, Android and Windows Phone systems.

Despite the fact that the Blaze does not have a built-in GPS (but it can be connected via a smartphone), it is relatively well equipped. It automatically recognizes if the user has started a sports activity thanks to the SmartTrack feature, it can measure heart rate and there is also music control.

Fitbit certainly did not want to be left behind, and therefore it is not surprising that users are offered notifications about incoming calls, messages and or calendar events. All this will be more convenient thanks to the new touch screen. Also interesting is the battery life, which was anchored at five days with normal use.

The California company's latest wearable venture is available in small, large and extra large. However, neither of these sizes is completely waterproof, so you can't swim with it.

Blaze is available for pre-sale for less than $200 (approx. CZK 5) in black, blue and "plum" colors. Belts in leather or steel form are also available for connoisseurs.
