Developmental Halfbrick studios quite often occupies the top positions in the rankings in the App Store with its achievements. Their great feats Fruit Ninja or jetpack Joyride now completes Fish Out Of Water, in which you participate in the World Fish Throwing Championship!

The whole concept and control of the game is completely simple, exactly as it is customary for Halfbrick Studios. In short, we take the fish and flick it across the entire display of our iDevice so that it flies as far as possible. We repeat this procedure 3 times, and then a jury of five crabs gives us a rating from one to ten, which is averaged to create a final grade. Ratings are made based on how far our fish flew, how many times they jumped, and so on.

However, nothing is as simple as it may seem at first glance. Specifically, we have a choice of six fish. We can use only three in each attempt, each one has different properties, one can bounce off the surface, another can float through water, and another is better thrown higher than far. Another factor is the weather. It changes every hour in the game, which I think is a very interesting element that makes the game more varied. For example, you can look forward to rain, snow, tsunami, volcanic eruption and more.

During the flight, coins are collected, which can help to reach a longer range. In addition, there are many tasks in the game, such as flying one of them 200 meters, or collecting 10 coins, maintaining the same speed for 15 seconds, and others. For completing, you receive some kind of stones that can be exchanged for various benefits. Another way to get to them is the not very popular microtransactions.

The game described in the previous paragraphs would probably not have a long life, therefore a simple online mode is placed here. After logging in through one of the social networks, you can join one of the many leagues. Within this league, performances are then compared with other players, and the leagues themselves also have a ranking here. If you are already playing the game, or are going to after reading this review, then know that there is also a league called "jablickarcz" that you can join and then compare your performances with the readers of this site.

Graphic and sound processing does not offend, but neither does it excite, in short, it is sufficient for a game of this type. As for the gameplay, it will not be very famous, it will most likely entertain for a few hours, and competition between friends or in individual leagues will find its fans. Although the price is a low 0,89 euros, I think that Halfbrick Studios could easily put this game on the App Store for free. In short, Fish Out Of Water is an average game that has some interesting ideas and is worth checking out, and if you don't expect much from it, it probably won't disappoint.
