Among users of Apple products, native Safari is undoubtedly the most popular browser. However, some of them still rely on the competition, which is dominated by Chrome, Opera and Firefox. And it is the last-named of them that has now received an important one update, when it brought a significant design change for the Mac, Windows, Linux platforms, as well as for iOS and Android. This fresh update brings a minimalist design, more pleasant work with cards, a simplified address bar and a number of other novelties.

The main one is the design change. This time, the Mozilla company bet on a so-called fresh, simple and non-distracting look, which will definitely be welcomed by the majority of users. At the same time, it is fully aware of the importance of privacy and security, which is why it brings integrated functions to this area as well. Thanks to this, it is now possible to browse the web more anonymously, avoiding cookies and so-called trackers. As for the mentioned design, the developers allegedly relied on the observations of the users themselves. They analyzed distractions, unnecessary clicks, and generally time that was literally wasted on useless things, turning the results of these findings into the current update called Firefox 89.

Other changes included the modification of the address bar and the menu. If you think about it, the address bar is a relatively inconspicuous place, but it is still where everyone starts after turning on the browser. That is exactly why it has been simplified and should now be easier to use. In order to further reduce unnecessary items, some parts were unified. The result is a simpler menu. Firefox then found that more than half of users have at least 4 tabs open at all times. For this reason, a slight modification of their design was in order, thanks to which the newly active card shines pleasantly and is thus more distinctive compared to the others. The cards seem to float above the address bar, which naturally creates the effect that they are not static items and therefore you can move them around or organize them.

On the iPhone and iPad, Firefox is optimized in such a way that its use is as simple as possible. You can Firefox 89 for Mac, Windows and Linux download from official website. The version for iOS and iPadOS labeled 34 is already available on App Store. The browser is of course completely free.
