On the night from Friday to Saturday, the final version of the iOS 11 operating system hit the Internet, which the rest of us will see tomorrow. Considering that this is the so-called "release version", it basically contains everything that has been hidden from the testers' eyes until now. And thanks to that, we were able to learn a lot of interesting things, especially about the new products that Apple will present at tomorrow's keynote. If you like surprises, read no further.

The first thing we learned about the new software is the naming of the new iPhones. We won't see any "S" models this year, instead we'll see the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. The models with the number 8 will be the updated current generation, while the model called X will be THE new iPhone, which will offer an OLED display and all the other news that have been speculated about for several months. Previously, there was speculation about the name iPhone Edition, but the designation "X" is more appropriate, given this year's ten-year anniversary since the introduction of the first Apple phone.

The iPhone X will offer really top performance. It is evident from the software that the A11 Fusion processor will offer a six-core configuration in a 4+2 layout (4 large powerful cores and two economical ones). We will also see recording in 4K/60 and 1080/240. Some short 3D animations should appear when using wireless charging. They are referenced in the iOS 11 GM code, but have not yet been found.

We also learned that the iPhone X really won't get the popular Touch ID. This will be replaced by Face ID, which will make its debut. Several short videos appeared on Twitter over the weekend, which demonstrate, for example, the process of initially setting up Face ID, or what the entire interface will look like. Face ID will be used by default in the same cases as Touch ID. That is, for unlocking the phone/tablet, authorizing purchases in iTunes/App Store or when using the AutoFill option in Safari.

More information about the new Apple Watch. This is not a major information regarding the hardware, there probably nothing will change from what is expected. However, according to information from iOS, we should expect new color variants, which are marked in the software as Ceramic Gray and Aluminum Brush Gold. The first word probably refers to the chosen material, the second subsequently to the color shade.

The last major innovation is the first real visualization of what the status bar will look like in the iPhone X, or how Apple tackled the display cutout and user interface modification. The images and videos of users who have the final release of iOS 11 at their disposal clearly show how the top bar will look. The time data and location services icon will be located on the left, network, WiFi and battery information will be located on the right. Once "icon overload" occurs, the less important ones will be moved to the background through a nice and quick animation.
