The premiere of the currently filmed film about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, played by Michael Fassbender, is scheduled for October 9 this year, the film studio Universal Pictures announced.

The announcement of the premiere date comes a few days after the Internet discovered pictures of Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogen filming in Cupertino. The former will play Steve Jobs, the latter his friend and other co-founder of the company, Steve Wozniak.

The expected film, which in the end after big somersaults took over from Sony studio Universal, is being shot from a script by Aaron Sorkin and will describe three key phases of Jobs' career. Danny Boyle, known for his films, directed Slumdog Millionaire a 128 hours.

Further on we can look forward to, for example, Jeff Daniels, Kate Winslet, Katherine Waterston or Michael Stuhlbarg.
