Press Release: Advent began with the culmination of the biggest discount event of the year and the main pre-Christmas season started for e-shops. Alza.cz prepared a record 10 items for Black Friday customers, for which it also offered the lowest prices for the last 000 days. The fair approach and real discounts of the e-shop were confirmed by the Shop Watch analysis. It received 365 stars, the highest possible award, in the rating of e-shops evaluating the transparency of discount calculation.

The Alza.cz e-shop has been promoting real discounts and their fair communication to customers for a long time. For this reason, it has not used "discounts up to 80%" in its communication for the third year. For this year's Black Friday, the biggest discount event of the year, he nominated 10 products for which he guaranteed the lowest prices for the last year. For the included products, Alza indicated the amount of the discount compared to the lowest price at which it sold the product in the last 000 days. Discounts on Czech e-shops have traditionally been monitored by the shop watcher. It follows from their analysis, that in addition to the lowest prices over the last year, it was Alza.cz that actually offered the biggest discounts of all e-shops with a similar assortment.

"I believe that business can be done fairly and honestly. If the fact that we are pioneers in presenting transparent discounts, calculated from the prices before the discount and a properly described methodology, means a satisfied customer, then our effort makes sense. I am very happy that the fair discounts on Black Friday at Alza were also confirmed by the analysis from Hlídač shopů," says Petr Bena, deputy chairman of the board of Alza.cz.

The weekend with Black Friday in numbers

Black Friday is one of Alza's favorite customer events every year. During the weekend, when the discount holiday peaked, customers ordered 750 items worth 740 million crowns without VAT. In addition, buyers took advantage of the breadth of the offered portfolio when they purchased more than 500 different items.

For three days and nights, the e-shop processed 1,1 orders per second, and 35% of them went to one of the more than 1 AlzaBoxes. They have thus become the most popular way of delivering goods. The long-term popularity of purchases from mobile devices was also confirmed, almost half of the orders were made on a mobile phone or tablet.

On Alza, customers most often bought Lego sets, books, mobile phones, wireless headphones, console games, smart watches, coffee capsules, board games, cosmetic gift sets, electric toothbrushes, televisions, essential oils, perfumes, fitness bracelets and laptops.
