Surely everyone has experienced it at some point. You come to a foreign or new doctor for a check-up and the traditional questions come up: Are you taking any medications? What surgeries have you already had? Are you being treated for any diseases? Are you allergic to anything? What is your health insurance company and GP? I don't know about you, but I personally don't remember everything, unfortunately, and our healthcare is still not uniformly connected. The same scenario can be repeated, for example, at the veterinarian where you go with your four-legged pet or other animal.
The new Czech application Family Care can easily help you with similar and many other problems. As its name suggests, the purpose of the entire application is to take care of yourself and your loved ones, including pets. Family Care is an intuitive and simple application. It can be operated by absolutely anyone, while the family member who wants to keep track of others should install it.
One example for all
Gabriela is a caring mother who takes care of two children and a sick grandmother. In addition, they have one dog and a cat at home. Her husband is very busy and often travels around the world for work. Gabriela has no choice but to take good care of the whole family. Until she installed the Family Care app on her iPhone, she had to write everything down on pieces of paper or in other apps. Over time, however, she discovered that she no longer even remembered where she had written down what.
She had the medicines that her grandmother takes written on the refrigerator, the dates of her children's preventive examinations on the calendar, when she should go with the cat for castration, on the vaccination certificate, and in addition to all this, she herself has to take thyroid medication every day and go for regular check-ups. In short, confusion, as it should be.
Once Gabriela discovered Family Care, all of a sudden her problems were solved. Up to five family accounts and two pet accounts can be set up in the app at once. Gabriela thus has an immediate overview and everything together in one place. In each account, she conveniently filled in all the data, from name to personal data, complete health data (for example, current treatment, blood group, vaccinations, allergies, diseases, operations) to contacts for all doctors or insurance companies.
The same recording principle also applies to pets. In addition to the fact that Gabriela has everything together and does not have to remember anything, she can also set various notifications. That way, grandma will never forget to give her medicine on time and she won't miss mandatory vaccinations for her children. In the same way, he can transcribe a complete medical history into the application and thus keep his family's health under control.
In the event that it bothers her to write data on the small keyboard of the iPhone, she can use a free account, which will also allow her to access all the data from a web browser. Synchronization and backup of all data across platforms and devices works just as easily. Gabriela will thus avoid data loss if, for example, she buys a new phone.
Family Care is completely in the Czech language and, of course, the application does not have to be used by only one family member. Thanks to access data, anyone in the family can access personal data and medical documentation.
Personally, I really like the style of notifications on Family Care, which can be in the form of an SMS message, e-mail or directly as a notification on the phone. You will also be pleased with the complete list of contacts that can be created. I simply have a list of all my doctors in one place.
People will also certainly appreciate the SOS button, which is located right in the main menu. In case of need, anyone can easily call the emergency services or other help. In terms of design, it is a simple and clean application, which is maximally secure and thus no one who is invited can access your data. It's also nice that the application works even with minimal data, and if you simply don't want to enter something, you don't have to.
Family Care also includes in-app purchases to unlock additional user cards or remove advertising. I admit that it is sometimes quite annoying and for one euro it is worth giving it away if you want to use Family Care to the fullest.
Family Care is currently only available for iPhone and you can find it completely free in the App Store. Setting up an account and all related web services are also free.

Well, where to start?
As soon as I read this "review" I was happy, as I have been looking for something similar for a very long time. HOWEVER, after installation, there was a big disappointment.
1. It does not support all iOS as written, but only iPhone
2. Does not support the retina
3. I personally don't find it very intuitive, as I don't see the language setting anywhere in the menu. (The application is in the EN language from the beginning) The only thing that is at least in the CZ language is the "application version" at the bottom :D
4. The Czech developer was able to translate the application into 4 foreign languages, but was unable to translate it into SK. Thanks, we probably have a different language :D
About the language variants .. It is the case that there is no language variant in the settings. The application is launched in the language of the device's operating system. If it is not one of the listed variants (CZ, EN, DE, FR or ESP), the primary language of the application is the EN variant.
So it was clear to me that he was probably doing it that way. But I don't understand the reason. It's impractical.
It's not just the case that whatever system language you have set, the application will also pick up that language. Other preferred languages can be set in the settings. That is, if I have a system in Slovak, I will add Czech and a third option, English. So it will primarily give the Slovak language, if the application does not support it, it will try for Czech, and if it is not supported either, it will eventually choose English.
