Three and a half years ago, Facebook enabled the cross-posting of posts from Instagram Stories to the relevant section on the Facebook social network, but cross-posting in the opposite direction has not yet been possible. But now Facebook is also testing this feature, and users may soon be able to add their stories from Facebook to Instagram.

The feature is currently in beta testing within the Facebook app for Android smartphones, and you'll be among the first to she noticed Jane Manchung Wong. Server TechCrunch describes in more detail how this function can actually be used: “When you record a Facebook Story and are about to publish your story, you can tap Privacy and check who you are sharing it with. In addition to the options Public, Friends, Own or specific friends, Facebook is also testing an option called Share to Instagram." Users will then be able to activate automatic sharing of stories from Facebook to Instagram using a button in the section dedicated to sharing stories.

It is not yet clear whether those who view the given story on Facebook will no longer see it on Instagram, but users would certainly welcome this improvement. A Facebook spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch that testing of sharing stories from Facebook to Instagram is indeed happening at the moment. This is not internal testing, the feature may appear randomly to anyone who has the Facebook app installed on their device. It is not yet clear when the testing of this feature will start for users with iOS devices.
