As part of the F8 conference yesterday, Facebook presented a whole series of new plans and visions. One of Facebook's most important projects is supposed to be the so-called Messenger Platforms. This is an extension of the current Messenger, which will allow it to become a platform for third-party applications and acquire content from independent providers.

iOS application developers now have the option to add Messenger support to their application and connect it directly to the Facebook communication application. In addition, Facebook worked with more than 40 developers even before yesterday's presentation of the project, so some applications supporting Messenger are already in the App Store. Thanks to these applications, users can send special GIF animations or images and video directly from third-party applications while using Messenger.

The user can access special extensions in Messenger by clicking on the icon of three dots in the panel above the keyboard. From there, he can browse through all the available applications, while for the installation itself he is redirected to the App Store. Installed applications work completely normally and independently, but thanks to the support of Messenger, they can be used in its environment as well.

For example, you install an application Giphy and if you decide to use it in the Messenger environment, the process will look like this. When you tap the Giphy icon in the Messenger menu, you'll be redirected to the Giphy app and you'll be able to choose a GIF to send to your friend from the app's gallery. After choosing the appropriate GIF, you will select the recipient and this will bring you back to Messenger, where you can continue the conversation normally. The good news is that the content sent in this way will also be displayed on the computer. However, you can only send from the mobile application.

There are already a number of applications on offer, and they will certainly increase rapidly. Currently, thanks to them, you can send the aforementioned GIF animations, various emoticons, videos, photos, collages, stickers and the like. Most of the applications are from the workshop of independent developers, but some were also produced by Facebook itself. He sent applications into battle stickered, selfie a Shout.
