Social networks not working for you? Then the fault is not yours. Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp were affected by the outage. Users are reporting problems all over the world, but the most problems were reported by users in Europe and the United States.

While some services are available on Facebook, sending and uploading images does not work correctly. Instagram users are also reporting a similar problem with photos. In contrast, messaging communication is almost completely cut off on Whatsapp.

Users registered the first signs of an outage around 17 p.m. Later, the problem began to gain even more intensity. At the moment (19:30) the situation is not any better and the mentioned social networks are still running in limited operation.

“We're aware that some people and businesses are currently having trouble transferring or sending images, videos, and other files in our apps. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible." Facebook representatives comment on the situation at Twitter.

Based on data from Downdetector.com especially users from America and Europe have problems with social networks. While in the case of Facebook, the ratio of reported errors is fairly balanced, the Instagram outage mainly affects users in the United States, and Whatsapp, on the other hand, does not work for users in Europe and South America (specifically in Brazil).

On Facebook - and other networks associated with it - similar outbursts are starting to become a kind of tradition. The largest ever was recorded by Facebook during March of this year – when Mark Zuckerberg's network was restricted for more than 20 hours. Misconfiguration of the servers was blamed, although many believed that it was a targeted attack on the servers, which the company representatives later denied.
