While in yesterday's summary we informed you about quite interesting news, so unfortunately that is not the case today. But there's still a little bit of things going on in the IT world - so today's roundup looks at why the UK's Competition and Markets Authority is investigating Facebook's acquisition of GIPHY. In the next report, we will inform you about the news in the applications that are part of the Adobe Creative Cloud package, and finally we will also satisfy car enthusiasts - because the Ford brand presented a new legitimate Mustang with the designation Mach 1 2021.

Facebook is under investigation (again).

If you follow the events around Facebook with at least one eye, then you certainly did not miss the information that Facebook acquired the GIPHY social network a few days ago. For those less knowledgeable, the GIPHY network is mainly used for sharing animated GIF images, which can then be used anywhere on the Internet - you can even find GIPHY within the Messages application of apple phones. Since this is a fairly large and valuable purchase (Facebook paid $400 million for GIPHY), this information has also been circulated by all sorts of authorities - so it would be strange if one of them did not catch on. Facebook will be investigated by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority over the said acquisition. This authority has doubts that Facebook bought the GIPHY network simply to "get rid of the competition". Facebook was alleged to have breached the Enterprise Act 2002, which is the main reason for the investigation. Therefore, the acquisition of the GIPHY network is on hold for the time being until the investigation is over.

New features in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite

The Adobe Creative Cloud service is very widespread and constantly growing. More than 12 million users currently subscribe to this package - and many of them could not imagine life without it. Adobe is one of those companies that tries not to rest on its laurels, so it often makes various updates to all its programs that are in the Creative Cloud. We've just arrived today with an update to this popular suite of apps and services. Adobe says these updates bring new opportunities for people to connect, learn and collaborate, who can turn their ideas into reality much faster.

As for programs that have received updates, we can mention, for example, Photoshop. The new update adds a tool to Photoshop that makes it easy to create a portrait selection of a person. This feature uses Adobe-Sensei's artificial intelligence, which is behind many of Photoshop's new features. This new tool is especially useful when you need to create a selection for a portrait of a person with long hair - all graphic designers know that making a hair selection is an absolute nightmare. However, thanks to this tool, an absolutely accurate selection will be made, which will save a lot of time and nerves. Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop has also been updated, specifically the user interface has been modified. In the case of Illustrator, users have received support for documents on the Cloud, thanks to which all files from Illustrator can be saved to the Adobe Cloud. After the release of Illustrator on the iPad, users will be able to start working on a document on a computer, for example, and then simply finish it on the iPad.

For example, the Premiere Rush application received other functions - the Auto Reframe tool is now available here, thanks to which users can easily change the size of the video. The Adobe Fresco application has also received news - specifically, users have received a function to start a live stream, so users can stream their drawing techniques from the iPad. Lightroom then added a new Discover section to easily share photos, along with a Share Edits option that lets users share edits. The Local Hue tool has also been added. InDesign has also received news, where you can now find the Share for Review option. Thanks to this option, designers can share their documents with colleagues, which should significantly speed up the entire approval process. The Creative Cloud application itself also received news, together with Aero, XD, Behance, Premiere Pro, Spark, Adobe Fonts and others. You can view all changes at this page from Adobe.

Ford Mustang Mach 1

If you are among the fans of the Ford car company, then you probably did not miss the new model called Mustang Mach-E a few months ago. Many fans of the automaker complained that the Mach-E model did not fit into the Mustang family in any way (due to its bodywork) - and we haven't even mentioned the fact that the Mach-E was originally supposed to be called the Mach 1. Ford used this designation for the Mustang back in 1969 and it would be incorrect to label an SUV that way "has nothing to do with Mustang". If you are a fan of Mustangs, I have good news for you. Ford presented the new Ford Mustang, with the designation Mach 1 2021. This designation was not chosen by chance - for the new Mach 1, Ford was in some cases inspired by the original notorious model from 1969, also with the designation Mach 1. Ford Mustang Mach 1 2021 it will offer 480 hp (358 kW), a torque of 570 Nm, a redesigned intake system and better cooling of the engine oil. As for the engine, a five-liter eight-cylinder V8 will of course be used. You can check out the new Mach 1 in the gallery below - what do you think?
