Originally, she was supposed to transfer from Nest to Twitter, but in the end, Yoka Matsuoka's path, also due to an unpleasant illness, turned to Apple, where she will work on health projects.

Yoky Matsuoková is known as an expert in robotics, one of the co-founders of Google's X Labs and the former chief technology officer of Nest, which also belongs to Google.

However, Matsuoka left Nest last year and was heading to Twitter when she was stricken with a life-threatening illness, as she described on your blog. But she successfully got out of a difficult life situation and has now joined Apple.

At Apple, Matsuoka will work under Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams, who oversees all of the company's health initiatives, including HealthKit, ResearchKit or CareKit.

Matsuoka has had a very impressive career. While studying and lecturing at prestigious universities, she received a "genius grant" from the MacArthur Foundation in 2007 for her work in the field of neurorobotics, using this technology to help disabled people control their limbs.

In 2009, Matsuoka decided to help Google establish the X Labs project, but a year later she joined her former student Matt Rogers. He and Tony Fadell co-founded Nest, a company that makes smart thermostats, and Matsuoka joined them as their chief technology officer.

At Nest, Matsuoka developed the user interface and learning algorithms for all of Nest's automated products. When then Nest was bought by Google in 2014, Matsuoka decided to leave Twitter, but ultimately decided to turn down the vice president position due to illness.

Finally, he is heading to Apple, where he can offer his very valuable experience in the field of healthcare.
