Eric Schmidt, chairman of the board of Google and former member of the board of directors of Apple, wrote on his own profile on Google+ instructions for switching from iPhone to Android:

Many of my friends with iPhones are switching to Android. The latest high-end phones from Samsung (Galaxy S4), Motorola (Verizon Droid Ultra) and even the Nexus 5 have better displays, are faster and have much more intuitive interfaces. They make a great Christmas gift for iPhone users.

Lately, Schmidt likes to comment on the competition. The last time this happened, he was booed by the audience when he claimed that Android was more secure than the iPhone. While Schmidt's guide is useful for those actually switching from iPhone to Android, the first paragraph of the post is misleading and Schmidt could have been forgiven, if only to his credit.

Better displays in the form of OLED technology are debatable to say the least, however IPS LCD is generally considered to be superior to OLED as it has better viewing angles and more faithful color reproduction, although OLED has better black reproduction. The mentioned phones are definitely not faster, all of them benchmarks speaks in favor of the iPhone 5s, despite the fact that many manufacturers in benchmarks he cheats. And the intuitiveness of the environment? iOS is generally known for its intuitive UI, while Android is very unintuitive for many, although much has improved with successive updates.

However, Eric Schmidt's statements should be seen as everyone is kicking for his team, he is kicking for Google. He might commit some unnecessary fouls, but the iPhone is clearly around his neck so much that it's worth it.

However, Schmidt's post doesn't rule out the possibility that many are actually abandoning the iPhone and switching to Android. If you are undergoing such a transition, then it might just be instruction chairman of the board of Google very useful. In it, Schmidt describes how to transfer your contacts, photos and music from iOS to Android. And also, at the end, he adds that you should use Google's Chrome browser, not Apple's Safari. Surprisingly.

A fake Jony Ive has also already responded to Schmidt's Google+ post on Twitter. However, his guide for switching from iPhone to Android is noticeably shorter. Judge for yourself:
