In connection with the Apple company, many questions have appeared in recent years, which always revolve around one topic. Has Apple run out of ideas? Will another company come with a revolutionary product? Did Apple fall with Jobs? It is from Jobs that there is constant speculation about whether the spirit of innovation and progress did not leave with him. In recent years, it might seem that the company is overstepping the mark. That we haven't seen something truly revolutionary for a long time and that would change the way we look at the entire segment. However, this sentiment is not shared by Eddy Cue, as he testified in a recent interview.
Eddy Cue is the executive director of the services division and is thus in charge of everything related to Apple Music, the App Store, iCloud and others. A few days ago he gave an interview to the Indian website Livemint (original here), in which the thesis that Apple is no longer an innovative company was dropped.
"I definitely do not agree with this statement because I think that we are, on the contrary, a very innovative company."
When asked if he thinks that Apple has not been coming up with some more interesting and innovative products in recent years, he replied as follows:
"I certainly don't think so! First of all, it is necessary to realize that the iPhone itself is 10 years old. It is a product of the last decade. After it came the iPad, after the iPad came the Apple Watch. So I definitely don't think we haven't been innovative enough in recent years. However, look at how iOS has developed in recent years, or macOS. There is perhaps no need to talk about Macs as such. It is not possible to come up with completely new and revolutionary products every two, three months, or every six months or a year. There's a time for everything, and in these cases it just takes a while."
The rest of the conversation revolved around Apple and its operations in India, where the company has been trying to expand significantly in the last year. In the interview, Cue also mentions the differences in the leadership of the company, what it's like to work under Tim Cook compared to what it was like under Steve Jobs. if a refugee like that works for epl, I'm not surprised that it all goes down the anus
I APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE FOR MY SHAMEFUL LAST NAMES
You can't blame the last name, but the vomit you write, yes...
Unfortunately, the moderator does not sit here non-stop. The comment has already been removed.
The last really innovative thing was the iPad. Since then I have been waiting for the wonderful things that Cook has been promising for several years. For now, it's just a copy of things already produced by competitors. Watch, HomePod, AirPower. Yes, the last two are actually still only in the pictures. Has the same look been creeping in on phones and watches for several years now?
Otherwise, he didn't say anything, so yes, he doesn't think so, and what about the watch? introduced in 2014 ? and that iPad, introduced in 2010.
Before the competition copied Apple, today Apple copies the competition.
Maybe Apple is copying, but you have to admit that they always demonstrate it in such a technological quality and maturity that the competition can only dream about it. For example, such a FaceID seems more than innovative to me. :)
Unfortunately, I can't. I had the opportunity to try the iWatch and the Gear 3. And the Gear is better in my opinion. Lasts just fine for three days, better display. System too. They can work even without a phone, iWatch cannot even be turned on without a phone. The same goes for editing options. Good for a woman, my friend has them, in RG and nice, but functional bida. Sorry. She is not satisfied with them. And I had to buy her a phone for it. I had no idea they didn't work without her. Doesn't that sound too sophisticated and questionable to me?
On the other hand, everything is unquestioned. Such a "novelty" as fast or wireless charging is not exactly perfect either. What has been working with the competition for several years, and does Apple have the file in a beta version? And I don't have to repeat myself, it's enough to find an article about it, you need here or LSA, etc. So Apple in recent years file???
And before I get attacked again, I say this as a long-time owner and user of an Apple product. But somehow things are going in a different direction under Cook than I would have imagined. So the last thing I bought was an iP 6 plus. Since then, Apple has not received a cent. If I don't remember the iW 2 and iP 6s, but that was a gift.
There is nothing to buy. IMac and MB Pro serve me then, thank God.
Unfortunately, I have to agree... No major, breakthrough innovation has really occurred since the introduction of the iPad. Only the evolution of existing devices. FaceID is a virtue by necessity, if they were able to build TouchID under the glass on the iPX, I'd much rather see it. And I think most other users too. Apple is dealing with nonsense like gender and racially balanced emoji, but I'd rather see a decent successor to the Mac Pro, like the urn is beautiful, but it was a step to the side, or a proper upgrade of the Mini, or an MBPro to which I can connect all that stuff without a reduction backpack, which I have accumulated over the years of using Macs.
What can I add, that sums up my point exactly. Deal with the squirming emoji, strap colors,…… just stupid things. In the first place are the phones, which are not much. Perhaps an iPX, but the rest is a fluke today. Then the watch.
A new new version of MacOS has been released, and to be honest, not much has been written about it. It's just that iOS 11 is being discussed everywhere, and what a mess it is. Which it probably is. At least eight betas and then four more within a month. Which is pretty weird. I don't want to say that it wouldn't have happened under Jobs, but you can see that Apple is going to hell.
The phones are not bad, even if only in terms of mechanical processing, that is still unrivaled by Apple. New iOS - when I read about all these problems, I don't have the courage to install it on my now outdated 5S. That really wouldn't have happened under Jobs, I'm sure. Apple may not be in trouble in Cook's eyes if they were only looking at financial results, but from my point of view as a user, it's getting harder and harder to get excited about any of their new products. Everything is thinner, lighter, flashier, but at the same time practically irreparable. I don't like the design of the Watch, I thought about the 7 (now 8) iP before it came out that it wouldn't have an analog headphone jack. The reasoning that it takes up too much space is one of the dumbest I've ever heard. Fortunately, I replaced the MBPro less than three years ago, so I hope it will last a few years. The new ones do have a nice gaybar (touchbar), but I'd rather have keys that I can find without having to look at them. They also quietly removed (along with all the other ports) the optical digital audio output that I use a lot. And to top it all off, it costs almost 20 liters more than the original series. What reason should I have to go buy it?
Yes, we agree on everything. Perhaps not with the iP processing. I tried the SGS 6 Edge + instead of the iP 6 Plus. I was just looking that the processing is really nice and that I am quite sensitive to it. Then I tried SGS 7 Edge, SGS 8 + to end up with Note 8. Processing no problem. On the contrary, with the iP 6 + I had a problem with the dimensions (the width is really brutal), in addition due to the size or perhaps rather the smallness of the display. And rounded edges. That's why it also fell off after about two months and I pumped ten liters into the new display. After buying the case, the brutal dimensions increase even more. So, if I were to go for something today, it would probably only be the iP X. Unfortunately, I also have a problem there with the absence of the headphone output, and I really don't want AirPods.
I wouldn't rush the transition either. I still have an iPad Mini 1 with the current version 9.3.5, which was an unusable paperweight for him. I stopped taking it. Self-restarts, chopping and battery is not much anymore.
Because of the optical output, I bought the last generation Apple TV at the last minute, I use it too, and it's not up to date either.
As for the MB Pro, as long as it serves me, I'm not planning any changes either. Paradoxically, they are the only products I buy from Apple, and Apple hates computers the most. Holt phones and Watch straps spill more.
