Eddy Cue appeared at the Pollstar Live media festival held in Los Angeles in recent days. On this occasion, he nodded to the interview of the editors of the Variety server, who discussed with him all the current news related to Apple or iTunes and Apple Music (which has Cue under it) concern. The new HomePod speaker and, last but not least, also other official information about how it actually looks with Apple, regarding the creation of its own content, also came to the fore.

The interview was not recorded on cameras, so only the festival visitors took care of the reproduction of the information. Much of the discussion revolved around the HomePod speaker, with Eddy Cue specifying some of the technical features found in the speaker. As it turns out, the built-in Apple A8 processor is not too bored. In addition to taking care of the functioning and connectivity of the speaker, it also solves special calculations in which the HomePod dynamically changes the playback settings depending on where the speaker is in the room and, most importantly, what is currently playing.

It is basically a kind of dynamic equalizer that changes along with the music being played. The goal is to offer the best possible sound settings that exactly fit the genre being played. Apple resorted to this step so that users don't have to change settings based on the music they're playing. Apple engineers are so confident in their capabilities that the HomePod does not contain any custom sound settings.

Cue also briefly mentioned Apple's efforts to break into the market with its own television and film production. We are currently aware of eight projects that are in various stages of development. Eddy Cue could not reveal anything specific but indicated that the first official announcement regarding this new service will come relatively soon. However, what this means is probably only known to him and other upper management of the company.
