The popular iOS application Duet Display, which was created by former Apple employees and allows you to use your iPhone or iPad as an extended desktop for your PC or Mac, is getting its version for the Android platform today.

Duet Display was one of the first apps of its kind to offer an iPhone/iPad connection to your main computer to expand your desktop. The application can be used on almost all modern Macs and PCs with Windows 10. With the help of a cable connection, an image with a low response is available, with which you can work without problems and, for example, use some of the controls specific to mobile devices. All of this is headed to Android now, the app should be available in the Google Play Store sometime today.

The Android version of the app will support most smartphones and tablets running Android 7.1 or later. On the PC/Mac side, you need Windows 10 or macOS 10.14 Mojave. Then just connect the two devices with a data cable, set and you're done. The connected tablet/phone will be immediately recognized by the computer system as a secondary display and ready for use. Thanks to this, it is possible to set several parameters of the connected unit, such as resolution, position, rotation and others. In the case of the upcoming version of macOS Catalina, this tool will arrive already implemented in the system by default. No additional applications will be needed to connect Mac and iPad.
