Two weeks after the WWDC keynote and introducing iOS 7 Apple released the second beta version of its new mobile operating system. iOS 7 beta 2 finally brings support for iPads as well, bringing back the Voice Memos app, for example.
It is possible to update to the latest beta version wirelessly directly from iOS devices, as is the case with classic iOS versions. In addition to the support for iPad mini, iPad 2 and iPad 4th generation, which everyone is interested in, because Apple has not yet practically shown iOS 7 on the iPad, other news also appear in the new beta.
The Voice Memos application for taking audio recordings and notes is celebrating its return. With Siri, it is possible to choose a male or female voice, and the Reminders application has been redesigned. In messages, it is finally possible to display the time for each individual message, and a number of graphic and control elements across the entire system have been changed or adjusted.
The server brought the first images of what iOS 7 looks like on the iPad's large display 9to5Mac:
Is there somewhere I can download it without needing a developer account?
On torrent. Just pay attention to the process of how it will install, otherwise you will not be able to activate the device. I think there was also an instruction here on Jablíčkář (basically you press Shift and select Restore Device in iTunes, but just to be sure, google a little).
Restore NO!!!! You'll make a brick out of it.
Shift + UPDATE
Exactly the opposite. :)
So without a developer account does it work? Shift+UPDATE and it activates normally?
Yes, but really read up on it or your phone won't work. If you've never done it, I don't recommend it (there's nothing difficult about it, but just mess up one step and you're out of the phone).
But then DFU still works right?
Yeah, it works. So I "rescued" him after the first attempt. :) And it runs like clockwork.
Do you have any instructions that you used to do this? Or have you tried? :D
DFU always works. My phone is registered as a developer, so I solved it the official way.
I know the procedures, because I have a condemned Jailbreak, so I tried almost everything :). Now it's time to test Ios7 on IPad. But I don't want to download from a torrent when I don't even know if it will work for me (I don't really trust torrents for these things)
literally no brick :) there is still DFU ;)
Wow, it looks so much better on the iPad. But some colors and appearance of the buttons (mainly in Safari) could still be reconsidered.
I activated a UDID account for 7 dollars and it seems to be legal from the first day... and I am satisfied
for 7 dollars? I thought it cost 99.
7 dollars is not enough, there are many videos on YouTube where it is discussed. You pay and they register your device in their database, as they do (program) it. And you also have OS 7, which works normally. If you just download it and don't have it registered, Apple will make it non-functional and you'll have to reinstall it on I OS 6.1.4
It is not true. Just Shift + Update, search for the .ipsw file with iOS 7 for the device and it works.
About 100x faster than beta 1. Unbelievable distribution in such a short time + on iPad. Amazing. Maybe the smart people criticizing beta 1 will understand that this is how it normally develops :-)
Anyway, I'm excited, it's as fast as iOS 6 again.
yes yes yes, I missed SMS times... typically when someone writes during a conversation that something will happen in 30 minutes (and doesn't write the time)..
Is it so hard to last until autumn? :D
is when it's so amazing! :D
Luxury, I have it on my iPad and iPhone. Enthusiasm! Besides, I don't want to upload the album images to the library from iTunes, you don't know what to do with it?
Great and you can try it right away. I don't know about you, but with beta 1, an apple appeared quite often when I unlocked it and immediately went into an application, and incoming calls were mostly disconnected after a few seconds, so I'm wondering if it has been fixed :)
Just a question for the crowd: has it happened to you with the new slide to unlock that it unlocked itself in your pocket? It never happened with the old sliders, but here several times?
I'm the only one who has an error in Control Center on/off. 3G? I haven't seen anyone refer to it yet, so I had to write :o)
You're not, I'm with you. :from
that seems like a completely pointless switch to me, I still don't understand why people often turn off 3G saying that it will save a lot of batteries, it's nonsense...
Because in some areas the coverage is such that the phone constantly tries to connect to 3G with weak coverage, which causes constant switching. Maybe it's a problem only in some corners of the world, but I noticed it a lot on my previous phone. I usually have 3G off on the iP and only turn it on when a larger amount of data is needed. I don't know what kind of experience you have, and above all, what area you work in. And it is also true that I follow the general opinion and I did not try to compare myself.
I mostly move around Prague and even here there is not 3G everywhere, sometimes also in the vicinity of Teplice in northern Bohemia, where 3G is also available most of the time. I don't think there will be a significant difference in endurance if I had it turned off, and especially when it's already running, at least the internet flies at a passable speed. That's why I would say that switching off is pointless, but it could be that there are problems in some areas, I don't know.
Apple solved it by putting mobile data right on the first settings page, saving you about two clicks. In any case, you have to take into account that, for example, in the US it is a completely useless function, so there is not much reason for Apple to add it to the Control Center
So that's good news! :o) Of course, I understand why it didn't make it to the Control Center.
Has battery life improved? It started draining me literally 3 times a day, so I went back to 6 for the time being... :/
same question..how is the battery life? With the 1st beta, my battery went down about 1 percent every minute, even in the locked state.
I don't have a problem with the 4S, on the contrary, I also thought that the durability was better. Already in the first beta
Did no one notice that there are no records in the calendar? Until now, there was a dot under the bottom where there was some record. Now there is nothing there and you have to go into each day and leaf through it to see if something is hiding there. Is that a fact? I still hope , that it's just a mistake.
"iPad mini, iPad 2 and iPad 4th generation support" I had no idea that from 2gen you can immediately go to 4gen ;)
