The Macintosh System Tools diskette is itself a nice retro piece these days, inspiring proper nostalgia. However, if such a diskette is also signed by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, it has another, much higher price in addition to its nostalgic value. One such diskette is going up for auction this week - whoever is interested in it should prepare approximately 4 crowns by December 174 at the latest, at least that's the estimated price.

A Macintosh System Tools version 6.0 diskette bearing Jobs' signature will be auctioned in Boston auction house RR Auction. In the past, it has already been the site of auctions for items that were in some way connected to Apple. The condition of the diskette is listed as "good", the signature is legible but a little blurry. The diskette itself appears to be in very good condition, with only a few minor scratches and minimal signs of aging.

The starting price initially started at a thousand dollars, after eight bids it rose to 5 dollars (approximately 060 crowns in conversion). The auction will end on December 117, potential buyers must place their bids by 4:XNUMX p.m. local time. If they do, they will be able to take advantage of the extended bidding period, where a thirty-minute interval for additional bids starts with each additional bid. If this interval elapses without a bid, the auction will end and the diskette will go to the highest bidder.

Jobs' autographs are a relatively rare commodity. The co-founder of Apple was famous for his extreme caution when it comes to signing anything, and the prices of items signed by him can therefore reach several thousand dollars at auctions. In August, for example, a poster for the movie Toy Story with Jobs' autograph was auctioned for $31 (converted to about 250 crowns), while a poster from the 723 Networld Expo was auctioned for roughly 1992 crowns.
