Filip Brož Everyone has played or at least knows the game of silent mail. Likewise, popular board games include Activity and their famous drawing discipline. The developers from the small Czech company Creativity 4 fun decided to combine these two games together and the result is Drawing Whisper. In the Czech version of Tichá pošta, which is called Chinese Whisper in America.
The game is designed for iPad only and its primary goal is to entertain all users and at the same time slightly torture not only the brain, but also the sense of creativity. You can play silent mail in two modes, that is, locally or over the Internet with the whole world. The first thing you need to do after downloading and installing is to choose a nickname and the language you want to play in. The game principle is very simple. As with board games, you will be tasked with either drawing something according to the assignment, or, on the contrary, writing a sentence about what you think is in the picture.
As soon as you do one of the steps, send the given picture or sentence to another player. If I take it very concretely, at the beginning you or someone else wrote, for example, the sentence "The cat jumps from the tree." So your task is to draw a picture in the graphic editor that will describe this sentence as much as possible. When you're done, send the picture to another user, who in turn has to guess what's in the picture you drew.
It therefore follows that, just like in classic silent mail, the final image will be completely different from the original sentence. At the very end, you will see a complete overview of how the first sentence changed and what pictures were drawn by whom. So no one is a winner or a loser. So don't look for any results, points or other evaluations in the game.
Just invite a few friends to visit and on one iPad you can take turns playing Drawing Whisper at will and enjoy lots of fun. In the game, of course, you can invent new sentences and send them to the world, or, conversely, download already created ones from other users. Or play directly online with players from all over the world.
Tíchá pošta also has security for children in the form of banning content intended for adults. It can easily happen that a user paints or invents an inappropriate sentence that is not intended for children. Similarly, you can also report inappropriate content in the game or block a sentence so that it is no longer displayed.
The big weakness and shortcoming of the whole game is definitely the design, which deserves a lot more care and attention. Similarly, the graphic editor could have more tools and options. Although there is a complete color spectrum, including various geometric shapes, crayons of different sizes and eraser, the graphic design of the application really does not resemble the standards of 2015. Although this does not have such an effect on the functionality of the application, it certainly does on the experience.
On the contrary, I have to highlight the idea and game concept. In the same way, if you know foreign languages, it is not a problem to add another language in the menu and participate in games literally all over the world.
