In recent weeks, Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, who, in addition to being an Apple employee, also released expected album Compton and biographical debut Straight Outta Compton about his journey to hip-hop stardom. However, Drem is not always talked about positively.

Said picture Straight Outta Compton charts the rise of the rap group NWA, whose Dr. Dre part of and which celebrated the greatest successes at the end of the 80s. During this period, however, Dr. Dre wasn't always the orderly artist he is today, so now he had to answer for his actions again.

The creators of the biopic eventually decided to cut this incident from the script, however, the history of NWA also includes, for example, the assault of journalist Dee Barnes and several other women, which actions the 50-year-old Dr. Dre is definitely not proud. And since the topic is hot again in connection with his "return" to the scene, one of the most successful artists in hip-hop has decided to issue a public apology.

“Twenty-five years ago, I was a young man who drank too much, was up to his ears and had no idea about life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I've been married for 19 years now and I try to be a better father to my family every day." he said pros The New York Times Dr. Dre, who moved from Beats to Apple as part of last year's three billion dollar acquisition.

"I am doing everything to ensure that this man never appears again. I apologize to the women I hurt. I deeply regret my actions and know that they have forever affected all of our lives," regrets Dr. Dre, who, in addition to the mentioned journalist, also came into conflict with his former partner Michel'le or another artist Tairrie B.

Apple also stood up for its employee, who in a statement for NYT stated that Dr. Dre is not who he once was: “Dre apologized for the mistakes he made in the past and said he is no longer the same person he was 25 years ago. We believe in his sincerity, and after working with him for a year and a half, we have no reason not to believe that he hasn't changed."

Dre was primarily forced to confess and publicly apologize by Dee Barnes, who in her text about the new film for Gawker she wrote: “I suffer from terrible migraines that only started after the attack. My head is ringing and aching in the exact same spot where he threw me against the wall.”

Barnes complained that the film Straight Outta Compton, which grossed $56,1 million in its first weekend in US theaters, is not an accurate reflection of the past and that it was supposed to show everything, including Dre's dark side.
