If you are one of the braver ones who are going to go beyond the borders of the Czech Republic in the summer season and are specifically heading to Germany, you will surely appreciate this trio of applications. The first will guide you through the rules of traveling there, the second will advise where to shop even on Sundays, and the third will tell you how to ask for rolls in that store, for example.

DB Navigator 

The app is created by the national train operator Deutsche Bahn and provides all German transport options in one place. If you don't know a word of German, you can also do it in English. This app lets you find trains, buy tickets, check platform numbers and even see how full your car will be. It also offers information on buses, S-Bahn and U-Bahn throughout the country. So wherever you go in Germany, this is clearly number 1.

In Germany, shops are closed on Sundays and public holidays, which is determined by the law on opening hours. Only monuments, museums, exhibitions, restaurants, bakeries, gas stations, etc. are allowed to be open. Stations and tourist areas are also exempt from the law.
