The wireless and (at least somewhat) smart speaker HomePod is currently officially sold in only three countries in the world - the US, the UK and Australia. This may also be the reason why its sales so far are somewhat weaker than expected. However, this could change in the near future, as information appeared in an official document from Apple that HomePod sales should expand to other countries, that is, to other markets.

Before the weekend, a special technical documentation for the HomePod appeared on Apple's official website, which explains several ways in which it is possible to play music through the HomePod. This wouldn't be so interesting in itself if it weren't for the information (in very small print) at the bottom of the document that the HomePod supports - in addition to English, French, German and Japanese. This is definitely not the case at the moment, as the HomePod is currently only available in English-speaking countries.

It is therefore possible to expect that Apple will soon offer its new speaker in these markets as well, which could significantly affect the sales figures. The aforementioned would also correspond to what Apple announced at the beginning of the year, namely that the HomePod would arrive in the French and German markets sometime in the spring. That would be quite believable considering how important the markets are. Japan is a surprise in this case and it will be really interesting if the Japanese market sees the HomePod before other major markets where Apple would like to implement.

Although the HomePod is not officially sold in the aforementioned countries, it is already available here some Friday. This is the same situation as we have in the Czech Republic, where HomePod is available unofficially, through some electronics retailers (here, HomePod from English distribution offers, for example Alza). At the moment, the speaker can only be controlled via the English Siri, so its acquisition is quite debatable. However, if you don't want to wait (official sales in the Czech Republic are relatively unrealistic, due to the non-localization of Siri into Czech), you have several purchase options. But don't forget the reduction to the power supply...
