The presentation of the new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 is literally just around the corner. Apple presents both of these products every year in September, when the company receives the most attention. Although the new iPhones have been talked about for several months and according to various leaks and speculations, quite interesting changes await us, the apple watch does not enjoy such attention anymore.

After all, we thought about this relatively recently - the popularity of the Apple Watch as such is slightly declining, despite the fact that their sales are constantly growing. In any case, potential changes and novelties are still being discussed among apple growers. Leaving aside all the potential changes, we could divide Apple users into two simple camps - those who expect a change in design and those who believe that Apple will rely on the same form as before.

Apple Watch design and the caution of leakers

You could say that the Apple Watch has remained the same since day one. This is still a smart watch with a square dial and a rounded body. In practice, however, there is nothing to be surprised about - the Apple Watch is considered to be the best smart watch ever, which has a number of great functions. And why change something that has been working for years. Despite this, there are leaks and speculations, according to which interesting changes await us this year. According to them, the Cupertino giant should bet on sharp edges and get rid of the rounded sides after years. In terms of design, the watches would be closer to today's iPhones, which since the iPhone 12 generation are betting on sharper edges and visually copy the basics of the popular iPhone 4.

Apple Watch Series 7 concept
This is what the Apple Watch Series 7 was supposed to look like

Even though several such speculations have appeared, people still approach them with much more caution. In short, confidence in the design change of the Apple Watch Series 8 is not what it might have been, for example, a year ago. The same change was being talked about right then. All sorts of leaks, speculations, concepts, and even renders have flown through the Internet. The Apple Watch's transition to a more angular body was basically taken for granted, and almost no one questioned this change. It was even more of a surprise when we saw almost no design changes - only a small reduction of the frames around the display and thus a larger screen.

Delayed change

On the other hand, it's possible that last year's leaks were actually true. There were reports that Apple just didn't have time to integrate these changes in time, which is why we didn't see any design changes. Although these claims have been questioned many times, it is still possible that we will see these changes only this year. But as we mentioned above, after last year's fiasco, almost everyone approaches the design of the Apple Watch with the utmost caution. Are you satisfied with the current look of the Apple Watch, or would you welcome this redesign with enthusiasm?
