The Whirlwind Computer Appeared on Television (1951)

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) demonstrated its Whirlwind computer on Edward R. Murrow's See It Now television show on April 20, 1951. The development of the Whirlwind digital computer began in 1946, the Whirlwind was put into operation in 1949. The project leader was Jay Forrester, the computer was developed for the purposes of the ASCA (Aircraft Stability and Control Analyzer) project.

Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems (2009)

On April 20, 2009, Oracle officially announced that it would buy Sun Microsystems for $7,4 billion. Oracle offered $9,50 per Sun Microsystems share, the deal also included the acquisition of SPARC, Solaris OS, Java, MySQL and a number of others. The successful fulfillment of the agreement took place on January 27, 2010.

Blue Screen of Death Live (1998)

Microsoft publicly presented its upcoming Windows 98 operating system during COMDEX Spring '20 and Windows World on April 1998, 98. But during the presentation, an unpleasant situation occurred - after Bill Gates' assistant connected the computer to the scanner, the operating system collapsed and on instead of the Plug and Play options, the infamous "blue screen of death" appeared on the screen, which caused a burst of laughter from the audience present. Bill Gates responded to the event a few seconds later by remarking that this was exactly the reason why the Windows 98 operating system had not yet been distributed.
