iPhones not only have a lot of fans in the world, but logically, there are also a lot of opponents who criticize them for a whole range of things, especially design. However, if we're being objective about it, it's fair to say that some of the criticism surrounding the iPhone's somewhat dated design isn't entirely out of place. At the same time, we do not mean criticism of the old-school iPhone SE, but rather allusions to some elements of premium iPhones from recent years, in which users did not like the cut-outs, the thickness of the frames or the protruding camera. While Apple obviously does not want to fight with some things, perhaps also due to technical impracticability, it is able to listen to other things, so to speak. And as a result, apple growers will benefit from it this year as well.

In the past, Apple has been heavily criticized for the cutout in the display, which many users find distracting. However, he started reworking it already last year, and from the patent applications it seems that the path to completely hiding the front sensors and cameras under the display is not that long, even if it will take a few years. It is all the more pleasing that the work to eradicate another disease is much easier and we will see its results already this year. We are specifically talking about the thickness of the frames around the display, which in recent years has unfortunately been noticeably larger than it was with the Android competition. On the one hand, this is a detail in a way, but on the other hand, these details complete the overall impression of the given device, and it was therefore a shame that Apple did not pay much attention to the width of the frames. After all, the only upgrade since the arrival of the X model took place at the introduction of the 12 series, and that's only because the design of the phone has changed quite significantly. At that time, moreover, this "defatting crust" was not as pronounced as it should be this year.

A very well-informed leaker appearing on social networks under the nickname @Ice Universe came a few hours ago with information that the thickness of the frames of this year's iPhone 15 Pro will reach only 1,55 millimeters, which is the smallest among smartphones. After all, the Xiaomi 13 currently has the narrowest frames with its 1,61 mm and 1,81 mm in the "chin" part. If we then wanted to compare the thickness of the iPhone 15 Pro frames with last year's models, we would find that they differ by a good 0,62 mm, which is not small at all - that is, at least taking into account the dimensions we are talking about. So the look at the front of the iPhones could be really impressive this year. However, there is one small catch that can spoil the initial enthusiasm a little and that is a slight change in the design.

This year's iPhone 15 (Pro) will stick to the body used since 2020, but with slightly rounded edges, it can be a bit of a problem. The rounding of the edges could visually widen the frames slightly, so the "defatting crust" may be a bit wasted. After all, let's remember, for example, the transition from the fully rounded body of the iPhone 11 Pro to the angular body of the iPhone 12 Pro. Although Apple has not narrowed the bezels too much, thanks to the deployment of a different design, the iPhone 12 Pro looks as if its display was considerably more moderate in terms of the thickness of the bezels. So we can only hope that optical distortion will not occur either at all, or only minimally, and we will enjoy a view that no one in the mobile world has available yet.
