There are a lot of so-called photography apps on the iPhone that play with your photos. Each one usually has something in it, and we will now focus on a piece from Peak Systems called Diptic.

Diptic is an interesting application that assembles several photos into pre-selected geometric shapes and creates a single one out of them. Everything is simple, easy and fast, so you can easily show your friends and convey more than you think with one photo.

In the first menu, you choose the layout in which you want to arrange the photos. In the next step, you select a free frame and select a photo from your album, of course you can also use the built-in camera for current images. In the Transform tab, you can zoom images with a familiar gesture, and by clicking, you can mirror or rotate them by 90 degrees.

Then comes the Effects tab, where you add a twist to your creation. You correct the brightness, contrast and saturation. Although the options are not that elaborate, they are sufficient for common use. And if you want to edit photos in more detail, you have to use another application. You can also set the color and thickness of the frame.

And when your creation is done, we'll move on to export. We either save the picture on our phone or send it by e-mail. The application is of course also available for the iPad, but it lacks a camera, so you are only limited to the images you have in your gallery.

You can find Diptic on the App Store for €1.59 and for those who like to take pictures, I can only recommend the application. However, Diptic will definitely be used by occasional photographers who can easily achieve interesting creations with it.
