Dot, čDot, Wallet, even a purse - these and many other applications store various information about your certificates, customer cards and more. Of course, it does not yet work with a citizen's and driver's license or passport, however, the eDokladovka application could come in the near future, which would serve just that.
You wouldn't have to carry a lot of plastic cards around in your wallet, if you already have the loyalty ones in the application (Wallet), the payment ones will be bypassed by Apple Pay (Wallet). Apart from the aforementioned, the eDokladovka should also handle a professional driver's license or a license for persons with disabilities. It would also be possible to import other documents that are not issued by the State Printer of Valuables, which is worth the title. This would be, for example, a birth certificate, a firearms license, a health insurance policyholder's card, a vehicle registration certificate, etc.

It is necessary to note that eDokladovka will not replace physical documents in the form of plastic cards or other formats and materials. Digital documents stored in eDokladovka would thus be digital twins of these physical personal documents, which you will still have to own, but no longer carry with you. The documents stored in eDokladovka will then be able to be checked (read) using one control application intended for control authorities by the devices that the control persons are equipped with, i.e. similar to the case with čTečka/Dot. Communication would take place using the Bluetooth interface, and document verification should also work offline.

But apart from a lighter wallet, what is the other benefit? If you lose your mobile device, you install the eDokladovka application on the new one and activate the individual documents. Thanks to the application's security, no one can access your documents. The use of mobile documents also has an impact on saving time at the authorities, who will not have to deal with the agenda of losing personal documents and at the same time will be able to use the prescription of forms by automatically reading data from the mobile document.
The security of data storage and the method of data exchange between the application of the holder and the verifier is based on the globally recognized, interoperable standard ISO 18013/5. The application has active protection against reverse engineering and also provides protection for users against hacker attacks. The State Printer of Valuables is already ready to finalize the prototype of the eDokladovka application and participate in its implementation. But for this, the still missing legal legislation for the use of digital documents in the Czech Republic must be approved. However, according to the State Printer of Cenin, it is quite realistic that it could be launched within a year.
