Screaming, children crying and nervous parents. Three key words that clearly explain the main meaning of baby monitors, i.e. devices that continuously watch over small children day and night. On the other hand, a babysitter is not like a babysitter. As with all devices, there are baby monitors that can be purchased for a few crowns, but also for a few thousand. Some parents are fine with just monitoring the sound - as soon as the child starts screaming or crying, the sound comes from the speaker. Nowadays, however, there are also more sophisticated products that are connected to your smartphone or tablet and, in addition to sound, also transmit video and can do much more.

Among the more sophisticated babysitters, we can include the Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD. At first glance it may look like a simple baby monitor in the shape of a Rubik's cube (because of how it can rotate), but after a few moments I discovered that it is a much more powerful device. In addition to the standard functions, the Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD has other functions that many parents will appreciate when looking after children.

I don't have my own children yet, but I do have two cats at home. I leave the apartment almost every weekend and it has happened repeatedly that I leave the cats at home alone during the weekend. They are also at home during the week when we are at work. I did not try the Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD smart baby monitor on children, but on the already mentioned cats.

I simply plugged the camera into the socket using the included cable, placed it in a suitable place on the windowsill and downloaded the free download of the same name Amaryllo application to your iPhone. After that, I easily connected the camera to my home Wi-Fi network using the app and could immediately watch the live image on my iPhone.

In the application, you can choose cloud storage, resolution and image transfer, and you can also turn on night mode or motion and sound sensors. The Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD camera can cover a space in 360 degrees while transmitting a live image in HD quality, which I appreciated when I was looking for where my cats had wandered off.

You can watch the recording from the camera from anywhere in the world. All you need is an internet connection, and if you don't have fast enough internet or you're working on a mobile connection, then you just need to switch to a lower recording quality. Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD also allows for recording, which can be saved either directly to a microSD card or to a local NAS server. In the application, you then choose whether you want to record continuously or only when the alarm is recorded.

But you can also upload recordings to the cloud if you want to access them from anywhere. For example, Google Drive offers 15 GB of free space, but you can also use the proprietary Amaryllo Cloud, where you get free storage of recordings for the last 24 hours and announcement photos for three days. For an additional fee, however, you can upload records to the cloud for a whole year. There is no limit to the size and number of videos on any plan.

Not only cats, but also children often wake up during the night. In this case, I appreciated the Amaryllo camera's night mode, which is more than good. Everything works thanks to the active illumination of the diodes, which can be turned off if necessary.

I also really liked that during live recording I can zoom in various ways and move the whole camera directly in the application. All you have to do is slide your finger across the iPhone screen and Amaryllo rotates in all directions and angles. Thanks to the built-in speaker, you can also communicate with your children remotely and play songs or fairy tales in MP3 format via a microSD card. Playing a bedtime story remotely couldn't be easier.

The Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD is equipped with motion and sound sensors, so during the weekend when the cats were at home, I was constantly getting notifications along with photos. The camera takes a photo with every recorded movement and sends it along with the notification for review. How and when the iBabi 360 HD will record, you can set the level of sensitivity of the pair of microphones that capture the movement. The microphones recognize three levels of sensitivity, so you can adjust them according to your needs.

Amaryllo doesn't just offer this camera, and if you buy multiple products from the brand, you can easily manage them all in one mobile app. You can also manage who has access to control the cameras. Then you don't have to worry about your records, the transmission of all data is encrypted with a secure 256-bit algorithm.

You can watch and control the broadcast from the camera both on your smart device and on your computer screen via the web interface at live.amaryllo.eu. Currently only Firefox is supported, but other common browsers will be supported soon.

Personally, I really liked the Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD camera, mainly due to the fact that I never encountered a problem when playing back the image and using other functions. Reliability is key with such a babysitter. The recording quality was great during the day, but also at night, which is a very pleasant finding. Less than 5 thousand crowns, for which the Amaryllo iBabi 360 HD can be purchased, may seem excessive at first glance, but this camera is far from just an ordinary camera.

So, if you want to have a comfortable overview of your children or pets and maybe even communicate with them, you should definitely look at the iBabi 360 HD. There are three color options to choose from – pink, blue a white. I was only slightly disappointed by the materials used. Amaryllo makes its camera out of plastic, so you have to be careful where you place it - if a child or cat drops it from a great height, it might not survive.
