As we approach the autumn presentation of new Apple products, the number of different leaks about what the company has in store for us is increasing. This time, a new design for the iPad mini 6th generation has been revealed, thanks to photos of the alleged aluminum molds used to create the cases.

The images were published by the website Techordo. These are aluminum molds that are typically used by case makers to produce their accessories for upcoming devices before they are actually physically available. Consistent with previous leaks, the design of the iPad mini 6 shown in these renders looks a lot like the smaller iPad Air.

So the Home button is missing, which has given way to a larger display and a symmetrical design with thin bezels. So the power button on the side of the device will probably also include Touch ID. There is only one main camera and it can be expected to have the same specifications as the one in the Air, i.e. a 12MPx camera with a wide-angle lens and an aperture of f/1,8.

iPad mini 6 will represent a major step in the development of the product line of this smallest iPad, which has not really changed its design since its first presentation in 2012. As he states 9to5Mac, if the iPad mini 6 is equipped with an A15 processor, it will make it the most powerful iPad (if we do not count the Pro series with its M1 chip). The new product should also support the second generation of Apple Pencil, after all, as can be done with the exception of the Pro series and the iPad Air. Here, too, you will be able to magnetically attach it to the tablet and charge it.
