Filip Brož Christmas is long overdue, but I already have an idea of what to hang on the tree. I got my hands on another member of the Playbulb family of smart lights, this time the Comet Bluetooth strip, which can create a great atmosphere thanks to the fact that it lights up to sixteen million shades. But you can really use it anywhere - it easily breathes new life into old furniture, various niches, ceilings, but also cars.
The two-meter Comet smart LED strip belongs to the extensive family of MiPow and their Playbulb range, where you can find smart light bulbs or decorative lighting. At MiPow, they are constantly trying to come up with new lighting concepts that are both effective, efficient and, above all, smart.
The Comet strip offers sixty white and sixty color LEDs as well as maximum flexibility. Its flexibility and double-sided adhesive tape on the bottom guarantee that you can stick it and place it really anywhere. I tried to place it myself, for example, under the TV, which can well simulate the backlight that many TVs have built-in.
Installation is easy, the LED strip is only ten millimeters wide and one millimeter high. But keep in mind that it needs to be plugged into an outlet, it doesn't work on its own. However, control is traditionally carried out wirelessly via Bluetooth and using free Playbulb X app.
Playbulb X is the imaginary center of all smart lighting devices from MiPow. Thanks to it, you can remotely control not only whether the LEDs light up at all and in what color, but you can also play with the intensity of the light and various color combinations, such as rainbow, pulsation, imitation of a candle and many others.
You can have up to five Comet smart strips in one ecosystem, and all lights, not just the strips, can be connected differently. You have an overview of your entire household from one application, and you can also easily create the kind of atmosphere you're in the mood for.
MiPow Playbulb Comet smart LED strip it costs 1 crowns, which is certainly not a little. On the other hand, for the time being, smart light bulbs are generally at higher price levels, so anyone who is interested in them must expect that the acquisition will be a bit more expensive.
When I take how much the same thing without bluetooth costs at IKEA, it seems to me that the MiPow probably uses some gold chips with diamonds or something...
Jesus, I connected a philips strip 3 years ago. and I bought the first led strip here on ebay, 25 meters for 25 euros.
Interesting but expensive! On Aliexpress, a 5m strip with bluetooth control via a mobile phone (NEW UFO MINI led bluetooth controller, DC12-24V, RGB) costs 500 CZK. It is possible to socialize it in groups, but simply ideal for reasonable money.
