For a long time, Apple avoided popular social networks. The company itself — as well as several of its high-profile employees — does have a Twitter account, but rather than sharing behind-the-scenes photos, Apple uses Instagram to showcase users' #shotoniPhone images. Newly appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Retail Deirdre O'Brien has now chosen Instagram to share images from her tour of Apple retail stores.

Deirdre O'Brien's Instagram account was only launched this week, just moments after her predecessor Angela Ahrendts officially left the company. The sign symbolizing an official verified account is missing from Deirdre O'Brien's profile, but there is absolutely no doubt that it is an official account. On Deirdre's Instagram account, you can see pictures documenting her journey through Apple Stores around the world. As part of her tour, Deirdre visited stores not only in the United States, but also, for example, in Paris and Hong Kong.

So far, the account can boast of only three photos, but more photos will certainly not be long in coming. Deirdre O'Brien apparently plans to visit as many stores as possible on her tour. Apple operates more than five hundred of these around the world, and the total number of its employees reaches tens of thousands. Angela Ahrendts did a similar tour shortly after she joined Apple in 2014. If Deirdre O'Brien shares even a fraction of the photos from her tour on her Instagram, Apple fans will get a unique opportunity to see places they might not otherwise have the chance to see to look.

Deirdre O'Brien's official Instagram account is titled deirdre.at.apple. He currently has a little over 1100 followers, but he certainly won't stay at that number. More than 13 thousand people followed Angela Ahrendts on Instagram.
