Dark Mode is the most requested feature by users, and it's no wonder that the biggest companies are trying to offer it in their products. In the case of Apple, the tvOS operating system was the first to show off the dark mode. Last year, Mac owners also got a full-fledged Dark Mode with the arrival of macOS Mojave. Now it's iOS's turn, and as many indications suggest, iPhones and iPads will see a dark environment in just a few months. In June, iOS 13 will be presented to the world at WWDC, and thanks to the new concept, we have an approximate idea of what Dark Mode will look like in Apple's mobile operating system.

A foreign server is behind the proposal PhoneArena, which shows Dark Mode on the iPhone XI concept. It is commendable that the authors did not go to any extremes and thus present a proposal of how the current iOS user interface would look in dark mode. In addition to the home and lock screens, we can see a dark application switcher or Control Center.

The iPhone X, XS and XS Max will especially benefit from the dark environment with an OLED display that displays perfect black. Not only will the black be more saturated, but after switching to Dark Mode, the user will save the phone's battery - the inactive OLED element does not produce any light, so it does not consume energy and thus displays true black. Undoubtedly, using the phone at night will also be a benefit.

iOS 13 and its other novelties

Dark Mode may be one of the main news in iOS 13, but it certainly won't be the only one. According to the indications so far, the new system should boast several improvements. These include new multitasking capabilities, a redesigned home screen, improved Live Photos, a modified Files app, iPad-specific features, and minimalist current volume indicator.

However, prim will primarily play the Marzipan project, which will make it possible to unify iOS and macOS applications. Apple already demonstrated its usability at last year's developer conference, when it converted the iOS applications Diktafon, Domácnost and Akcie to the Mac version. This year, the company should also carry out a similar transformation for a number of other applications and, in particular, make the project available to third-party application developers.
